I just had the best weekend. Our friends Niomi & Marcus came to stay with us in Norwich and we had such a lovely time. I totally forgot to take photos on my nice camera, but I took a few snaps on my phone that I thought I would share with you guys. It was the warmest and sunniest weekend of the year so far and we made the most of it by walking into town for a stroll around the shops. It felt so good to wear sunglasses and soak up some sunshine! I was excited to show Marcus & Niomi around and took them to my favourite lunch spot, No 33. I had the most delicious tuna salad, if you ever find yourself in Norwich, No33 is a must - and you'll probably find me in there! Sunday was another beautiful day so we had a BBQ - if you live in a hot country you'll probably think we are crazy as it's still quite chilly, but in the UK we rarely get nice weather so we have to seize it when it comes and being able to eat outside is a real novelty! Niomi & I made Quinoa salad and the boys did the barbecue. I also attempted to make my friend Dani's healthy Millionaire Shortbread recipe (it's made with lots of strange ingredients like Coconut Palm Sugar & Buckwheat Flour to replace all the typical bad for you ingredients) it tasted amazing even though it didn't look very pretty! The recipe will be up on her blog soon. Later that evening we did face masks and watched The Vampire Diaries. The perfect weekend in my books!
I'm always dragging Jim along to girly fashion parties, so last night it was only fair that we went to the TMRW magazine party at Boxpark (where they showcased lots of cool men's fashion brands), before going to the event that I was most excited for - the Warehouse store launch on Oxford Street. Although I must admit, I did have fun trying on men's beanies at the TMRW mag party! I took some snaps at both events and just thought I'd share them with you as I don't usually put this sort of thing on my blog. Also, I wanted to show you my new dress from Warehouse that I picked especially to wear to their launch. I am so in love with it! It's bright yellow, kind of 50's style and a midi-length. The shape makes me feel so feminine and the colour makes me excited for Spring! I accessorised it with a belt and earrings from Accessorise and necklaces from Topshop. I also wore 'Riding Hood' from my nail polish collection, as I thought a classic deep red looked amazing with the yellow dress and gold accessories. A few other dresses in the store caught my eye, which you will see in the photos below!
I hope you guys liked seeing some photos of what we got up to! I've just got home to Norwich for the weekend and I'm super excited as it's supposed to be the warmest and sunniest weekend of the year so far! I hope you all have wonderful weekends.
I'm sure lots of you have heard of juicing as it is getting more and more popular. At home I have a juicer that Jim bought me for Christmas and I use it regularly. I think adding a green vegetable juice into your day is fantastic habit to have and can really help maintain good skin and just general good health. However, when I am feeling particularly sluggish or I'm breaking out, or I haven't had a very good diet etc, I opt for a juice cleanse. Usually I make the juices myself with my juicer, but this week I'm in London and am super busy so I won't have time to make the juices. Also, my juicer is in Norwich so I placed a juice order this time. Now believe me, I love food and when I embarked upon my first juice cleanse a couple of years ago, the idea of not chewing actual food for 3 days was quite daunting. I never thought I would be able to do it, but I did, and ever since I have been a fan of a 3 day juice cleanse every now and then to give me a boost and make my insides happy! Juice cleanses improve digestion, can clear up your skin, detoxify your system and basically just give you a ton of nutrients. I did this exact juice cleanse from Radiance Cleanse a couple of months ago so even though today is just day 1 for me. I feel like I can tell you about it as I've done it before! The first day is easy, as you're so eager to try all the juices (you have 5 a day, pictured below). On day 2 I often feel like I want to order a pizza, I don't know why! You just have to stay strong and think of all the toxins leaving your body, I think of it as doing my body a favour. Rest is really important during a juice cleanse so I make sure I get 8 hours each night to give my body time to recover and recharge. I also drink plenty of water and peppermint tea too! Oooo and to really treat yourself, try having a bath with Epsom salts - this will work with the juice to help release toxins. I generally find day 3 quite easy as I feel excited that I've almost finished the cleanse and look forward to the feeling of accomplishment. On the day after the cleanse I always wake up feeling amazing and energised, I can't explain the boost a juice cleanse gives you, you just feel fantastic. Also, I find my cravings for bad, sugary foods are no longer there so much. For breakfast the day after the cleanse I usually go for smoked salmon, eggs and avocado. This is a typical breakfast for me. I will write the ingredients of the juices out below as the writing is so small on the bottles it's hard to see in the picture! I'm now drinking my Cashew Milk juice, as you can see in the photo, I like to pour my juices into glasses to drink them unless I'm on the go!

Jim and I are visiting our friend Zoe this weekend. She's just moved to Brighton, right on the seafront with an incredible view. This morning I woke early, opened the window and felt like I was on holiday as I breathed in the sea air - well I guess we kind of are on a mini holiday! The three of us got dressed and ready for the day then headed into town. Sadly Alfie was busy for the day, but Zoe, Jim and I decided we would be the three musketeers and "seek hazardous adventures". (Ok, our adventures might not have been hazardous!) I fell in love with 'The Lanes' and have lots of photos to share with you guys, including Zoe and I buying cupcakes, the pretty jewellery stalls in the narrow lanes and me getting lost in a book shop among dictionaries as I tried to find the fiction! We had a magical day exploring the shops and cafés, then decided to go to the beach just in time for the sunset. One of my highlights of today was having a cuddle with Pippin on the sofa.
Today has been a day of catching up with friends and eating! It's been lovely. Rose and I met at 12 in Notting Hill and went to this amazing organic place called Daylesford Organic. I was being a rubbish blogger and took hardly any photos, but Rose took lots and they will be up on her blog soon so you can find out exactly what was in our salad!! I also didn't take any outfit photos other than a selfie in the bathroom, I will include that anyway, but she will have our outfit pics on her blog too. (Oh and I changed my skirt to jeans in the middle of the day as I was cold - just incase you are wondering why my outfit is different!) We were so excited to catch up, especially as Rose has just returned from her Thailand trip that I needed to hear all about! We had a little shop on Westbourne Grove, then Rose had to go and I went to meet my friend Ruth in Covent Garden. Ruth and I also met through blogging and YouTubing, we've been friends for years now, but don't see each other enough! We had a mosey around the shops and by about 4pm we were both ready for some Afternoon Tea. We went to the Covent Garden Hotel and it was SO. GOOD. Definitely my sugary treat for the week! We actually both went a little crazy from all the tea and sugar. We chatted at 100mph, giggling away, until Ruth realised she was running late for a meeting! I had such a wonderful, relaxed day and feel ready to take on a busy day of work tomorrow. I have some filming to do and a casting for a TV show - wish me luck!
