Today I wanted to show you guys some of my favourite wintery lipsticks.
From left to right: Maybelline Fatal Red, Clarins Red Wine, Estee Lauder Mirrored Orchid, Estee Lauder Hot Lava, Rimmel As You Want Victoria, Rimmel Sloanes Plum, Rimmel In Love With Ginger, Kate Moss 111, Kate Moss 01.
I think that any pink, berry or wine coloured lipsticks add the perfect festive touch to your makeup look and they are a staple for me at this time of year. My absolute favourite is Estee Lauder Hot Lava, which is the one I'm wearing in the photo above. It's not the best photo as it's not even in focus, but I thought it was quite cool with all the Christmassy lights!
What's your favourite winter lipstick? Leave me a comment and let me know!
I wanted to share with you guys one of my favourite places for tea and cake in my hometown, Norwich. I know this may be irrelevant for those of you who don't live near me, but I hope you enjoy the photos anyway!
No.33 is a little cafe/restaurant that is perfect for breakfast, lunch or just tea and homemade cake. The atmosphere is friendly, the food is some of the best in Norwich and it's not expensive! Jim and I love to go there on the weekends and sit by the window so we can watch the world go by whilst chatting and eating tasty food.
The other day we were doing a little shopping and decided it was time for a trip to No.33.
Jim went for his usual sparkling Elderflower...
I opted for tea of course...
I ordered the yummiest cake - chocolate and banana!
Jim went for the waffles with fruit, bacon and maple syrup - I had a bite and it was WOW!
I also took some pics of the other cakes on offer, just because they looked too good not to photograph!
We then decided a little walk was in order, so we wandered down to the Cathedral and walked around the grounds with peppermint teas to keep us warm. I tried and failed at jumping and hanging off a tree...

I love having days like this, what do you guys like to do on the weekend?
Today I wanted to do a post for my Australian readers! There are quite a few of you so when I got this little box in the mail, I thought I would blog about it!
I love this duck egg blue packaging!
I am a huge fan of beauty boxes as you get to try lots of different products without having to purchase them all full size. Also, I travel a lot so I find the sample sizes of things very handy. Bellabox is the number 1 beauty box in Australia and they choose a few deluxe sized beauty products and ship them to your door every month for $15. Each box contains a mixture of beauty, body and hair products and sometimes you even get a full sized item. I love the idea of trying products within the comfort of your own home, but then if you like something you can just jump online and get the full size. It's a great way to try new products you may never have thought about before and also when you sign up you fill in a beauty profile so they can target items to suit your preferences!
Let's take a look inside!
One of the products that really stood out to me was the hand cream, it really moisturised my hands beautifully without leaving any tackiness and it smells so fresh - I am so happy I got a full size of this one!
I also fell in love with the lip colours...they are soooo rich and pigmented and amazing colours!
Other than that I am really enjoying using the tinted lip balm which smells of cherries, the face mask which I used during a girly sleepover and the lashes that I used with a smoky eye for a night out!
I don't usually blog about going to red carpet events, but last night was just incredible. My friend Maddie and I were lucky enough to have tickets to the world premiere of Catching Fire (the second film in The Hunger Games series). We are both huge fans of the books and loved the first film, so couldn't wait to watch the second! I'm not going to say anything about the film, as I don't want to give any spoilers away to those of you who haven't read the books. However, I will say that it was emotional, epic and even funny in places! I can't wait to go and see it again. Lots of you sent me lovely tweets last night about my dress so I thought I would share a few pics with you. I'm afraid they are a mixture of iphone and posh camera photos, and some are very blurry! Oh and my dress is from Coast (as I know a lot of you were asking), I feel like I should branch out as I'm wearing quite a bit of Coast at the moment, but I just adore their dresses!
Maddie and me (very blurry sorry!)
I got to meet so many lovely people who were waiting to meet the cast and happened to be viewers and readers of mine too. I didn't expect to see so many friendly faces and I loved meeting so many of you!
Posing in the W Hotel just before the red carpet. I had a particularly awkward conversation with the concierge when he asked if I liked the hotel and I said "Yes! You have very pretty balls!"
Arriving at the afterparty. It was held at the Royal Courts Of Justice and looked like Hogwarts inside!
We ate the most delicious desserts...
...and drank Champagne and fruity cocktails with popping candy on the rim!
It was so fun I just want to go and do it all over again tonight! Are any of you guys fans of The Hunger Games? If you are, let me know in the comments below who is your favourite! My favourite characters are Finnick, Gale and Cinna.
Today I have been feeling super Christmassy (I start getting into the Christmas spirit quite early!) and day-dreaming of wandering the Christmas markets in Florence. I would love to go there one Christmas as I've heard the markets are beautiful and I've never been anywhere in Italy. Anyway, to try and bring Italy to me, I decided to make one of my favourite Italian inspired salad for lunch today - Tricolore salad. It mimics the colour's of the Italian flag, so it looks pretty, but more importantly, it tastes delicious! This is one of my favourite meals that I make all the time at home, so I thought I would show you guys! I can't exactly call this a recipe post, as it's so simple and doesn't require any cooking or stirring, but maybe this will give you some inspiration for what to make for dinner tonight! Oooo a little tip: if you want this salad to be more filling, you could add some chicken and have some yummy garlic bread with it. If I'm making it for my friends I always add those extras, but today I just kept it simple.
You will need:
All you have to do is lay your spinach in the bottom of a dish, then chop up your avocado, mozzarella and tomatoes and pop them on top!
Balsamic vinegar is the perfect dressing for this salad, you could also add some olive oil, salt & pepper at this stage.
And that's it! Such a simple, but tasty salad. If you make this at home please tweet me a photo or instagram a photo and tag me in it - I love seeing when you guys make things I've put on my blog! My Insta and Twitter are both @tanyaburr
Oh and I have to add this photo of me and Poco. Poco is Jim's sisters puppy (half Chihuahua, half Yorkshire Terrier) that likes to come to our house for sleepovers sometimes. I love him very much.
Please excuse my lack of makeup in this photo - I'm having a lazy Saturday!
