Hey guys!

So last night I went to the special screening of The Great Gatsby in London. I was so excited to see the film as I loved the book and I'm such a fan of 20's hair and makeup!

I had been so busy leading up to the event, I hadn't had time to find a dress! So, yesterday morning I called Wish Want Wear (a company that lend dresses) and they sent over a selection. However, by the afternoon I was starting to panic, I had no idea which dress to go for and the one I liked the most was too big for me! Thank goodness Electra Formosa (an amazing fashion stylist) was in town, she came to my rescue! She helped me choose which dress to go for, we chose the Halston Heritage Carrie Gown as the pleating and the sparkly belt gave it a 20's vibe. Electra pinned the dress so it fitted me better, ideally we would have had more time to find a dress that fitted me perfectly etc. but I think it looked ok!

I kept my hair and makeup really simple as I didn't have much time to spare! I wore the same eye makeup as usual; MAC eyeshadows in Shroom and Charcoal Brown and Maybelline Falsies Mascara. Then on my lips I wore Burberry Sepia Pink, a gorgeous, subtle berry nude.

Jim dressed up for the occasion too in a gorgeous Buberry suit.

We were both so excited as dressing up and the cinema are two of our favourite things! When we arrived, we went straight to our seats and ate all our popcorn whilst we waited for the film to begin. Does anyone ever actually wait for the film to start before eating their popcorn?!

We had high hopes for the film particularly, because both Jim and I love Baz Luhrmann's Romeo & Juliet and we weren't disappointed. From about 10 minutes in Jim and I kept nudging eachother and whispering "isn't this amazing?!"

The film is so visually beautiful, I loved the 3D effects, especially with the snow...I felt like I was in the film myself! Warner Brothers worked with Tiffany on the jewellery and it was truly exquisite. The actors were wearing period Tiffany jewels and some pieces were designed especially for the film, like Gatsby's ring. I was just in awe watching all the amazing characters wearing all the sparkly diamonds and incredible dresses. The makeup was spot on, 20's glamour. If you are studying makeup, this film is a must-see!

The soundtrack was totally unique, a mixture of classic 20's, Jay Z, The XX and more. Really up mine and Jim's street, we have bought the soundtrack already!

I won't tell you too much about the plot as I don't want to ruin it for those of you who haven't read the book! Leo and Carey played out a story of lost love so beautifully, the film was inspiring, sad, and glitteringly elegant.

25 Facts About Me!

Hey guys, I felt like doing a bit more of a personal blog post today! I've seen lots of other bloggers do this post and I found it really interesting, so here are 25 facts about me:

1. I love baking

2. Following on from number 1 - I love sweet food, my perfect afternoon snack would be tea and cake :)

3. When I was little, apparently I used to go around saying "Daddy made it!" to everyone, because my Dad used to make things out of wood as a hobby (like tables, bowls etc.) I thought he made everything in the world! haha

4. I'm afraid of the dark

5. I love anything that sparkles

6. I had piano lessons from the age of six, but stopped when I was about 16 and I'm worried I will forget how to play one day as I don't have a piano in my house at the moment to practise on

7. I am a very positive, happy person (apart from when I'm worrying!)

8. I love Summer, warm weather makes me so happy and the only thing I like about Winter is Christmas

9. I'm a dog person, not a cat person

10. I can't catch, if you throw something to me, 99% of the time it will land at my feet

11. I love seafood, apart from Octopus...even writing it freaks me out! Ew!

12. I have a sister and a brother

13. Family time is my favourite. Jim and I both have such busy lifestyles these days that we really value our time together and with our families

14. My favourite colour is blue

15. Before YouTube and blogging etc. I worked as a makeup artist. I worked on a counter part-time and did wedding & prom makeup jobs too. I also did makeup backstage at London Fashion Week. I do miss it, but I love the work I do online now <3

16. I am a real foodie, I love trying new restaurants and different cuisines and although I like sweet things like cake, I HATE junk food! Like food out of a packet or processed stuff. I like home-baking :)

17. I'm really claustrophobic and can't go in things like lifts (elevators) unless they are glass so I can see out.

18. My birthday is on June the 9th, I get really excited for it!

19. I love fairy lights, I think they can make any room look pretty

20. I love being outside, even if it's not a warm day, I like to lie in the garden with a blanket and a hot chocolate and read

21. I really enjoy playing Tombraider on the Playstation

22. I am quite easily pleased and a very excitable person

23. I'm never late for anything, maybe this comes from me being anxious, but I always leave in plenty of time so I never have to rush

My Red Carpet Makeup Look

Hey guys!

Firstly, I just want to say thank you for all of your lovely comments on my last post like this which was my editing makeup look. Incase you missed that post, I will quickly fill you in! Max Factor created the Many Faces campaign with Gwyneth Paltrow which showcased her different looks, from the business woman to the rock star's wife. I got the chance to work top makeup artist Caroline Barnes to create 3 different makeup looks for myself for different occasions. So today I am going to share my second look with you: my red carpet makeup look!

Recently I have been lucky enough to be invited to a few red carpet events, choosing which makeup look to wear can be tricky and recently I have been playing it quite safe with neutral colours. Caroline showed me a great way to rock a red lip without it looking "too much".

I chose the All Day Flawless foundation, as I need good coverage for photographs so my skin looks as perfect as possible. I also went for this foundation because it has amazing staying power. My favourite product in this makeup look is the cream masterpiece eyeshadow in Coffee, it's literally the only eyeshadow I have used on my eyes and it looks so lovely! I would never of thought of keeping it that simple and just using one product on my eyes (aside from mascara). I used the shadow all over my lid and underneath then blended with my fingers. For mascara I used Clump Defy, this gave me volume and length and made sure my lashes looked fluttery and not stuck together. Caroline and I initially chose a red colour for my nails, but then felt it was too "matchy matchy" with my lips, so opted for Ruby Fruit; a beautiful deep ruby. On my lips I layered Ruby Tuesday lipstick with Passionate Red Giant Lip Pen - these products both have amazingly smooth and hydrating textures, but still manage to last a really long time on the lips. For blush, I knew I needed to keep it simple, so I swept a little Subtle Amber across the apples of my cheeks.

What do you think of this makeup look? I love the glamorous red lip, but my favourite part is the eyeshadow! I love that I just have a cream softly blended all the way around my eyes, it has such a subtle, soft and smoky effect.

There's only so many posing pics I can take of myself before I pull a silly face! haha

I Went To The Iron Man 3 Premiere!

Hey guys,

I hope you're all having a great weekend. If you are in the UK like I am, I'm sure you are enjoying the sunshine!

I thought I would put up a quick post about what I wore to the Iron Man 3 film premiere, as so many of you asked me on twitter where my dress was from and what makeup I was wearing!

Firstly, I just have to say a huge thank you to Marvel Studios for inviting me. I think it's because they know how much my fiancé Jim and I LOVE all the Marvel films :D I had the best time at the premiere. The red carpet was super exciting and Jim and I got to meet lots of our subscribers as they were waiting in the stands to spot the cast of the film! I love meeting you guys so much. The film itself was brilliant. It is now my favourite out of all three of the Iron Man films. I loved how gripping the storyline was, but it was lighthearted at the same time with some real laugh out loud moments. I feel so happy when the whole cinema laughs or claps!!

Anyway, on with the outfit...

I hired this beautiful red silk dress from Wish Want Wear . I love this website, because I don't think there is any point in spending a fortune on a dress for an event or premiere that I probably won't wear again! Also, it means that I can choose from an amazing array of designers, this dress is by Halston Heritage. I love this designer as I find their dresses really suit my body shape.

Since the dress was such a statement, I decided to keep my hair, makeup and jewellery really simple. I wore Nars Sheer Glow foundation set with Rimmel Stay Matte powder (powder is essential on the red carpet!) I sweeped MAC Shroom eyeshadow across my lids and contoured slightly with MAC Charcoal Brown eyeshadow. I also used this eyeshadow to fill in my eyebrows. I applied a fine line of Maybelline Black Gel Liner along my top lashes for definition, then lashings of Maybelline The Falsies Mascara. I contoured my cheeks with a Burberry Bronzer and used a tiny bit of MAC Frankly Scarlet blush. On my lips I wore a gorgeous gloss from Chanel, number 166. On my nails I wore NOTHING! 5 minutes before heading to the red carpet I noticed I had bright pink chipped nail polish on so I quickly removed it!

My Editing Makeup Look

So last year Gwyneth Paltrow signed to be the face of Maxfactor, I think she is absolutely beautiful so was very happy when I heard this news! I have always liked Gwyneth but I particularly love her in the Iron Man movies...so excited for Iron Man 3 to come out this month! The Maxfactor campaign with Gwyneth is quite interesting, a team of makeup artists led by top makeup artist Pat McGrath created many makeup looks for Gwyneth inspired by her many persona's, such as "The Business Woman", "The Rock Star's Wife" and "The Writer". This is now known as the Many Faces project. I love this idea so much, as I hope it will inspire women to be more creative with their makeup and not get stuck in a rut! Gwyneth's looks help her to portray different statements ie. "I am electric", "I am expressive" and "I am amplified".

Maxfactor asked me if I would like to create 3 diverse makeup looks for myself with the help of makeup artist Caroline Barnes. Since I am a huge fan of Caroline as a makeup artist (I have actually assisted her in the past) and love the Many Faces campaign, I of course said yes!

Over the next few weeks I am going to be sharing with you the makeup looks Caroline and I created together, so here is my first look:

This is my "editing look". This is the makeup look I wear when I am sitting at my computer at home all day, doing admin, editing videos, writing my blog, popping to the supermarket etc. I don't always wear makeup on these kinds of days but when I do, this is the look I go for. Caroline and I created this exact look together using Maxfactor products...

Caroline suggested I try the CC cream as it has a little bit more coverage than a BB cream but is not as heavy as a foundation. I have fallen in love with it! Although I have to say my favourite product of this whole look is the Miracle Touch cream blush in Soft Pink. It is SO pretty. I love that it blends so well and the colour lasts all day. Caroline encouraged me to try Black/Brown mascara for a more casual look and I don't know if it looked majorly different to my usual Black mascara, but it felt nice to try something new!

I painted my nails with the shade Desert Sand. I have never really tried nude nail polish before, but I really like it! I am so rubbish at painting my nails so all credit goes to my sister for how great my nails look! haha

Bobbi Brown Tinted Eye Brightner

Hi everyone!

Today I'm here with a newly released product from Bobbi Brown, created after becoming a popular request from her users and make up fans. Essentially, this is their brightening lightweight concealer but in a clear tube and with the addition of new shades! The concealer is specifically aimed to brighten and lift the eyes, and this it certainly does. It covers shadows and any blueness under the eye and leaves the eye area looking hydrated and healthy with a slight luminosity to the concealer which helps you look really awake!

It's very soothing and light which makes it perfect to use round the eyes and gives a fresh and youthfully radiant finish. The applicator means that you can apply as much or as little as you want and in exactly the areas that you want it. Although it is amazing for brightening, if you feel that it wont provide you enough coverage then it is recommended that you can follow it through by using the creamy concealer (which I love) afterwards if you feel you need it. For a bit of sciencey information then it is formulated with hops and liquorice extract to cover circles and then vitamin C and bamboo extract to brighten and even out skin tone.

The natural coverage comes in shades of Peach and Bisque, I have been using the shade Bisque which is in the pictures.

Clarins Instant Light Brush-On Perfector

Hi everyone!

As with lots of brands, Clarins have their own take on the cult beauty product made popular by YSL's Touche Eclat - a brush-on skin highlight and perfector. I haven't actually tried many other versions of the product but I've recently been using this Clarins one and it's made me really appreciate how handy and great this product is!

The product comes in four shades and I have it in 00 Light Beige. This is the lightest colour and I purposefully chose a colour lighter than my skin tone as I wanted to use this product as a highlight which it works brilliant as. I love how multi-purpose this product is as you can literally put it wherever you want on your face where you feel like you need some brightening and/or some covering. I have been using it on top of my cheek bones and through the brown bone, down the nose and in the cupid's bow just for a bit of subtle and natural glow and illuminating. It does provide some coverage, but not a full coverage so if you need more coverage I would suggest using a high coverage concealer and then going back and using this over the top. The product also contains Oat Sugars to tighten the skin and to reduce signs of fatigue which is a great plus, it's great and compact enough to carry around with you whenever your skin needs a boost!

The Perfector is available here for £19.60 (the cheapest I've found it), this is quite expensive but I have had mine for a good while already and it is showing no signs of running out! I'd love to know if you guys could recommend similar products to this? I'm always keen to find dupes!

Lancome Teint Visionnaire Foundation

I've been trying out Lancome's new Teint Visionnaire for a little while now and thought now was the time to share my thoughts on it with you! The foundation offers a 2 in 1 product by including both a flawless foundation and a corrector to go with it too. I absolutely love this idea and it is so handy to have a concealer to go along with your foundation, it makes it very compact and handbag friendly - a great one to have on the go.

The foundation comes in a fantastic colour range and I found a shade just right for me (03), the shades are really diverse and cater for lots of skin tones which is a real bonus. This also means that it blends beautifully into the skin, the other thing I love about this foundation is that it really evens out complexion and balances colour and imperfections, this is particularly aided by the corrector which has more pigment to hide any dark circles, redness and blemishes. However, having said this the foundation's overall finish is very natural and perhaps might not provide as much coverage as some of you like. For me personally, this is a foundation I will be reaching for more in the Summer when I want a youthful look that isn't too overdone, it's also great for Summer because it contains SPF 20 so will actively protect the skin too. The concealer is good for day to day wear and does cover any minor blemishes on my face and darkness under my eyes, however if you have anything that needs a bit more tending to then I suggest you go for a higher coverage concealer, but for everyday use this does the trick.

Aveda abundance style prep

Hi everyone!

I'm always on the look out for effective volumising products, and it's twice as good if the product doesn't weigh down the hair either. This style prep product from Aveda does exactly that and it really works and lasts. It contains passion fruit, rice bran, acai oil and aloe to keep the hair feeling natural and untampered and gives body that lasts all day. The great thing about this product is that you can use when your hair is wet and dry and style it as normal for extra volume, or you can use it as a refresher between washes or whenever your hair feels like it needs a boost - great for using before a night out I think.

It has the most gorgeous smell which I guess is down to its ingredients, so you feel like you're putting something nice in your hair! And most importantly, it doesn't make your hair feel uncomfortable or weighed down. Instead it just plumps up the hair and keeps it conditioned and soft. If put in to dry hair as a bost between washes then you can feel the product slightly in the roots but to me that is just a sign that it is working more!

Lancome Eclat Miracle

Hi everyone!

I really love serums that give radiance and glow to the face. There are lots of highlighter products on the market but I have recently been using this lovely one from Lancome. It gives a really gorgeous amount of glow with just a slight bit of shimmer that isn't too overbearing or unnatural.

As you can see from the pictures below, it comes out as a really bright white liquid, that is actually quite thin in consistency. Once blended it gives the most pretty glow and iridescence to the skin. I haven't blended it fully in the picture just so you can get more of an idea of how it looks on the skin. It is so pretty to wear on its own if your skin needs that extra boost, I would do this when my skin is a bit more tanned in the summer but it is also fantastic to mix with your foundation to make it looks extra dewy and radiant. It also makes a fantastic base for make-up and helps make-up to last all day!

I haven't really used much Lancome so this has been a welcomed change to my make-up routine. Have any of you tried this product or similar? You can get it from Boots here for £21.00.

Illamasqua Lipstick Palette

Hi everyone,

I recently did a post on the Illamasqua Complement which I love and this week I'm back with the equally as lovely Lipstick palette!

All the colours are bright pinks and matte so if you like pink and you like matte then this palette will be right up your street! The four shades are all really colourful and pretty and I love how they are all bright yet still really wearable and diverse. At the top left is Fable which is the most neutral of the four, this is a gorgeous peachy pink which is great for everyday wear. To the right of it is Plunge a bright Barbie pink, I think this is a great shade just to throw on with some mascara for a quick and simple but girly look. On the bottom left is Over, I absolutely love this bright coral shade - it will be perfect for Summer and to the right of Over is Corrupt, this is the deepest shade in the palette and it would look lovely for an evening look paired with shimmery gold eyes!

As always with Illmasqua lipsticks the colours are really fun and they never fail on pigment and colour, as well as this I always find their lipsticks to wear really well so you can depend on the colour to last and they are also lovely and comfortable to wear, keeping my lips hydrated and moisturised.

I totally think this palette has Summer lips covered in four lovely shades and I'm sure it will be one that I keep going back to once Spring finally decides to spring!

Dior 'My Lady' healthy glow complexion enhancing palette

Hi everyone!

So some of you might now that Dior has pretty much over taken Harrods in London for a month from the 15th March - 14th April. I am yet to get down there but have seen lots of photos online and it looks amazing! I mean who could not be impressed by a Dior telephone box?! Dior at Harrods pays homage to the British influence on House of Dior, and to celebrate the event an exclusive range of limited edition of beauty products have been created!

I have the 'My Lady' face palette and I think it is so gorgeous. The palette is inspired by the Lady Dior bag (a tribute to Lady Diana) with the cane work motif on the powder. I love the pink and white pattern and it's so nice to have a classic and quintessentially Dior product - how pretty is it?! I like the weightiness of the silver packaging as to me it gives it extra sophistication, and I love having a nice looking powder in my make-up bag!

The product itself is really lovely, I've been sweeping it across my face with a big fluffy brush and it translucently powders the skin yet adds a bit of finely milled shimmer to really lift complexion and give it a soft and healthy glow. This is great for me as you don't want your powder to make you look completely matte - this product finds the perfect balance!

New pieces from Sanctuary Spa!

Hi everyone!

Sanctuary Spa have just released their Long-Lasting moisture range and I absolutely love a couple of pieces from it. The way they promote and offer their products always sells it to me and they definitely haven't disappointed with these two! The promise of long lasting moisture is just too much not to notice so I couldn't wait to give these a try.

The first product is the 4 day moisture oil scrub. I am a big fan of scrubs but when they have an oily element to them as well, then it's just extra great! The scrub is really lovely, it smells wonderful and has a great texture. The fine salt crystals exfoliate whilst the olive oil, shea butter and gold of pleasure keep the skin gorgeously soft and moisturised. Even after using it the first time my skin felt really soft and silky as soon as I got out of the shower. They say the moisture lasts for 4 days, I have only ever used this with the body oil but my skin has felt soft ever since so 4 days it is! You can get yours here for £9.99.

After using the scrub I have been following through with the 4 day moisture body oil spray. This product is right up my street because the idea of a spray moisturiser is just a dream as it does all the hard work for you - evenly spraying an ample amount of moisture in an instant with little need to rub it in much. I literally spray it on my body and lightly rub it in then I'm good to go. As well as smelling gorgeous, this product really does deliver a lot of moisture and just feels gorgeously soft on the skin without any excess residue which you might think it has. I love it! You can get that here for £6.99 and the spray nozzle means it will last you!

I'm so impressed with these couple of products from the range and it's now made me want to try some of the others too! Do you guys have any recommendations? I'd love to hear!

Caudalie Divine Oil

Hi everyone!

Today I'm here with a review of Caudalie's Divine Oil. I really like a lot of the Caudalie range and the beauty elixir in particular has caused somewhat of a storm in the bloggsphere! This product ticks more boxes for me though because it is such a handy handbag essential. The oil has an abundance of uses and has been particularly perfect in the cold weather but it is definitely is one to keep all year round!

The oil can be used on your body, hair and face whenever you feel you need a boost of moisture or if you're skin/hair is feeling a bit lacklustre. It is really effective without being too greasy and is absorbed by the skin leaving it feeling renewed and with the silkiest of textures. The oil contains grape, argan, hibiscus and sesame oils as well as Caudalie's anti-oxidant Polyphenols to keep skin protected, hydrated and nourished. It has a gorgeous smell to it too - very feminine but with a refreshing tone to it. I've been using it on dry patches anywhere on my body but it can be used for all sorts of things - cuticles, face, as a detangler and as a hair mask. I love it because it combines so many products into one!

I was surprised to see it came as a spray, but actually this is really great because it means you only use a small amount of the product and really you only need a small amount - I was really happy to see how far the oil stretched, it also means that the 100ml bottle will last for ages!

Diorshow Mono Wet & Dry Backstage Eyeshadows

Hi everyone!

These shadows have been out for a month now so I know I am late to the bandwagon but better late than never I guess! I know they just look like simple shadows but I thought they were pretty cool because they can be used dry or wet and of course they come in the elegant Dior packaging embossed with the "logomania" motif. I'm a big fan of Dior shadows in general because the have such a finely milled formula which makes them so great to work with and they are also really pigmented too. Dior also have some really amazing shadow sets with wonderful colours in them so if you are on the hunt for a new shadow compact Dior is a good place to start hunting!

I have four shades of the shadows but there are many more gorgeous colours available. I particularly like the shimmery purple and matte beige nude that I have as I think they are both really wearable and flattering but still make for interesting shades. The pink and blue personally aren't my favourite shades but they can always come in handy! The idea is that you can wear them dry for a natural pop of colour but you can dampen an applicator and use them wet to really build up the colour and increase the pigment which is great!

Illamasqua Complement Palette

Hi everyone!

Hope you all have had a good weekend. I'm kicking off the week with a review of the Illamasqua Complement Palette. This palette has indeed been around for a while but it's new to me, and as such a fan of the Illamasqua shadow range, I totally love this palette and thought I would share the love with you all!

The palette consists of three powder shadows and one liquid metal which is basically a cream shadow. On the top left is Slink - a shimmery champagne colour which is perfect for popping in the tear duct and for using as a highlight. Below Slink is Forgiveness, a beautiful purple colour which makes for a gorgeous smokey eye alternative - I absolutely love this shadow as it's so warming and pretty. Next to is Queen of the Night, a much deeper purple colour with a lot more shimmer which again you could use for a smokey eye but as it's quite dark, I personally prefer it just blended into the outer corners or used as a liner. Last but not least is the Liquid Metal in the top right called Focus, I think this is such a gorgeous cream shadow, on first look it appears as a warm brown colour but it is shot through with grey and green to make it really stand out and it just looks so beautiful. You can use this as a base for a smokey eye but it also looks fantastic just on it's own for a quick smokey shadow fix.

Although the palette is quite Autumnal in colour and shades, I think it makes a great quad for all year round with each shadow really wearable and useful, especially for an alternative smokey eye look. I personally will be taking this palette right into the Summer as I think the cream shadow would look amazing on tanned skin paired with a red lip for a fast but beautiful Summer look!

Talking of Summer... I can't wait! It's been such a long Winter here and some sun is much needed!

Jo Malone Sugar & Spice collection

Hi everyone!

So Jo Malone are back with another gorgeous collection. They really seem to never disappoint with their launches, constantly bringing out one beautiful fragrance after another! This time it's the limited edition Sugar & Spice collection which is based upon British high tea, with all of the five fragrances inspired by a typical high tea offering. This instantly grabbed my attention as I loved the ideas and inspirations behind the fragrances, and as a lover of high tea I couldn't wait to smell them.

There are five fragrances, available in the handy 30ml sizes which I love because they are perfect for having in your handbag. What I also love about the collection is the candy colours of the bottles, which puts a cute and unique twist on the already classic and elegant Jo Malone style. There are five fragrances, Redcurrant & Cream, Elderflower & Gooseberry, Bitter Orange & Chocolate (sooo edible smelling!), Ginger Biscuit and Lemon Tart.

I have both Lemon Tart and Ginger Biscuit at home, Ginger Biscuit isn't pictured because it's permanent place is in my handbag - I absolutely love it, the fragrance is so warm and comforting in a way. It has ginger, nutmeg and cinnamon in it to make it rich and spicy and it's warmth and sweetness comes from the vanilla all topped off with its biscuity and nutty edge. It's perfect! Lemon Tart on the other hand has a really fresh zing to it with the citrus element but still retains warmth from the sugary meringue part to it. This one is much more refreshing and is a great one to wear casually and it fits in perfectly with all this lovely Spring weather we are having here!

L'oreal tecni art 'Super Dust'

There are soooo many of these dusts around, the market is totally saturated with them at the moment! There is good reason for it too, because in theory they should be every volume lovers dream. Some of them fail to live up to the hype but this new one from L'Oreal is just brilliant!

Out of all the dusts I've used, this one delivers the most volume that actually lasts. Once sprinkled and massaged into my hair, my hair's volume is instantly boosted and the consistency and texture of the dust means it holds it in place. I generally directly scatter the dust along my parting and then under the hair on the scalp too and then give it a really good rub and massage to amplify volume, but you can also put it in to the palm of your hands first and work all over the hair as well. The great thing about the L'Oreal dusts is that them come in 'forces', if you are a big volume person like me then you would go for the highest force - 3 - to get the most amount of volume but you can chose from lower numbers too if your hair just needs that extra umph!

Of course like all these dusts it does leave a slight sticky feeling to the hair, particularly if just applying it directly to the roots but this is not visible at all and I like to think of it as locking all that volume in!

Creme De La Mer skincare regime!

Hi everyone!

So I've been excited to write this post for weeks! For the last 2 months I have been so strict with my skincare routine by only using products from the fantastic Creme De La Mer range, I've been wanting to try the range for a while and wanted to use them for a long period of time before reporting back to you guys with my thoughts and to really see how it changed my skin. Especially as the products are so expensive, I wouldn't want to go recommending something of this price range to you guys unless I was absolutely sure I loved it.

I've been using a combination of three products - the cleansing fluid, the moisturising gel cream and the eye balm intense and I can honestly say this combination has really improved my skin, it's soft and hydrated and noticeably more radiant but most important it has kept any blemishes and outbreaks away! If you watch my YouTube videos you'll know that before Christmas I was really suffering from breakouts, I used La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo to get my skin back to normal - it's an amazing product to clear up your skin. However, I don't think it's a product designed to be used 365 days a year, so once I was sure my skin was totally back to normal, I moved onto the Creme De La Mer range I'd been dying to try out!

I start by using the cleansing fluid which has a really rich consistency to keep the skin moisturised whilst successfully removing make-up and makes the skin feel super clean and deeply cleansed. It feels so luxurious to use as when combined with water it turns into this gorgeously silky cream and it has natural pearl powders in it too! As you can see I have used half the bottle in 2 months so this cleanser would last approx. 4 months if you're using it everyday. Although, thinking about it, my fiancé Jim has been using this daily too so actually would probably last twice as long if it was just you using it!

Next I moisturise with the gel cream which has the silkiest texture and literally melts in to the skin. It is really light weight so it feels super hydrating and refreshing without being overpowering or greasy after applying it. It actually has quite a matte finish so is a great base for applying makeup.

I then finish my regime with the eye balm. This is the perfect eye cream for me as it's super rich and you only need the smallest amount for ample coverage around all the eye area. After using it for a while, my eye area is totally hydrated and the skin around it feels and looks really healthy. It also comes with a silver-tipped application which is cool to encourage micro-circulation.

Lots of you will know that Creme De La Mer is on the pricey end of the spectrum as far as skin care goes and it definitely would be an investment in to your skin, but I have to say I am totally hooked and am really impressed with the range. I will definitely be sticking with it for a good while! Have any of you guys tried it?

Look of Love by Lipstick Queen

Hey guys,

So after all the fashion week posts I am back doing a review! I love this lipstick collection from Lipstick Queen! Lipstick Queen is a brand by Poppy King which focuses on..... you guessed it, lipstick! The pure commitment to all things lipsticks means that they are amazing quality and fantastic shades. This particular collection 'The Look of Love' is based on the feelings of first falling in love, with Poppy saying that the chemistry brings out the natural pink beauty in your lips and cheeks!

To create the look of love, you use all three of the lipsticks (in the order I've shown them in the photo). You start by adding 'Oxymoron Honest Politician' which as you can see is the most pigmented and this makes more a smooth and colourful base which you can add to the cheeks as well for a rosy and blushing finish. Next you add 'Saint Pink Nude' for the natural pink lip colour and then finish off with 'Butterfly Ball Smitten' which gives the lips gloss and iridescence! I love the quality and texture of these lipsticks, very comfortable and hydrating and the whole colour range is really flattering!

Of course you can wear these colours separately and each looks gorgeous on its own. I think the concept of the collection is really sweet as well, and it makes an original and fun way of using lipstick!

I went backstage at the BRITs!

Hey guys!

So on Wednesday I was very lucky to be invited behind the scenes at the BRIT Awards to experience their backstage spa. Each year a "BRITs Spa" is created within the O2 so the glamorous stars can have some last minute pampering including massages, manicures and spray tans before the much anticipated awards ceremony!

I was so excited when I was told I could literally just hang out in the spa all afternoon and experience all of the treatments! Firstly I had a blow dry by the lovely John Vial at Fudge. He used a big round brush to get lots of volume into my hair, then instead of using a hair oil to give my hair shine, he used a lightweight shine spray, so as not to weigh my hair down.

(that's obv not me in the pic, but just wanted to put a pic of him in because he was so nice!)

Revlon nail ambassador Jenny Longworth, who is Jessie J and Rihanna's nail artist was offering last minute manicures! I already had my nail's done so just stood and watched as she did one of my fave celeb's nails, Laura Whitmore. Laura presents on I'm A Celeb and I always think she seems so bubbly and happy - I love her! Here's a pic of Laura in her beautiful dress...

There was such a lovely lady called Fiona from Decléor offering massages and skincare treatments. As I already had my makeup on I opted for one of her 15 minute massages. It was amazing! She said I had really tense shoulders with lots of knots and within 15 minutes she managed to relax my muscles. She said I should visit her for a massage when I have more time and I definitely will!

Harry Styles even came in for a massage with Fiona, meeting him was the highlight of my day! I am such a huge 1D fan. Harry was lovely :)

It sounds bizarre, but a guy called Anthony from Champneys was doing body statistics tests. He measured my cholesterol, blood pressure, height, weight and many more things I can't remember! Turns out I am normal and healthy, but it was interesting doing all the tests!

Fake Bake were offering spray tans on the go!

And lastly, Revlon had makeup artists on hand ready to touch up the star's makeup before they walked the red carpet!

Burberry A/W 2013 show!

So the last show I went to was the Burberry show on Monday. It's always held in the beautiful Kensington gardens and is one of my absolute favourite shows. Without a doubt I always love everything about it - the clothes, the make-up, the music and the models and I love how it always has such a 'London' feel to it.

I went backstage and got the low down from the amazing make-up artist Wendy Rowe about what the Burberry girls look was all about for this season. The make-up look was sophisticated but with a naughty edge and a slight nod to the 60's with the heavy feel of the lashes. This playful element was reflected in the hair with the gorgeous and glossy blow dry with lots of lovely volume.

And to top it off the amazing Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was there - she is even more beautiful in real life! Her hair is enviable!

Topshop Unique A/W 2013 show

Hi everyone!

So after Mulberry on Sunday, I then moved on to the Topshop Unique show. I absolutely loved the venue - it was held in the Tate Modern gallery which was really cool and gave the collection a unique edge. The collection had a grungy 90's almost tomboyish vibe to it but with a really feminine twist which I loved. Two of my favourite models walked the show - Cara Delevigne and Jourdan Dunn. The collection was really wearable, here are some pictures of Jourdan and Cara sporting some of my favourite pieces.

The beauty look was really fun and original with a bright blue smoky eye sported by the models. I liked that even though it had a daring edge, you could totally tone this down and make it in to an everyday wearable look. Either way though it's going to look amazing on Jourdan Dunn!

I also had the Daily Mix team come along with me to the venue and film what I was getting up to there which was really great! I'll post the video here for you guys to see all the fashion madness!

Mulberry A/W 2013 show!

Hi everyone!

On Sunday I went along to the Mulberry fashion show and I had such a great time! As usual the collection was beautiful, and so were the interiors on the runway with the theme of wild flowers and butterflies. Mulberry often use dogs too and this year there was poodles walking the runway and they were so adorable! The show was at the amazing Claridge's hotel and was based on the flowers and landscapes of the British countryside with all the colourful and botanical prints.

These were some of my favourite looks from the show...

The make-up was beautiful and I loved the fresh face look the models were wearing with their flawless skin, but I loved how the eyes had lots of smokey definition and the lips were given a peachy burst of colour - such a pretty and feminine look!

Rimmel Scandal Eyes Eye Shadow Sticks

Hi everyone!

So Rimmel have recently brought out a new addition to their Scandal Eyes range - the waterproof eyeshadow sticks! I think they are so brilliant, Rimmel are really hitting the mark with all their recent product launches.

Essentially they are a colourful crayon which you can use as a base or to create different eyeshadow looks, and they are waterproof! I was so impressed with how soft and pigmented the texture of them is, the literally glide on with such a pretty sparkly finish and are really simple and quick to use and to achieve a lovely eye look. The colour range is good too, with great staples and some fun colours thrown in the mix as well.

The BAFTAs with Charles Worthington!

Hi everyone!

So as you may know the lovely people at Charles Worthington invited me to go along to the BAFTAs with them. I had such an incredible experience and I thought I would share some pictures from my evening, and also some of my favourite hairstyles and looks from the night!

Before making my way to the ceremony at the Opera House, I spent most of my day getting ready at the Style Suites at the Savoy. It was such a cool spot just to hang out, everyone was so accommodating and it was great just to chill out and relax before leaving. I spent the afternoon drinking champagne and meeting some lovely people and this was also the place that I also got my hair done by Sophie who was from the Charles Worthington team. Lots of celebrities came and got ready here too which was so exciting - Sarah Jessica Parker came in last minute to get her hair done! He also did Jessica Raine and Emilia Fox's hair and I was lucky enough to be sat to dinner with them later on in the evening.

At the Style Suite, I also had the chance to interview Charles Worthington himself, as a massive fan of his products and such a lovely person too, this was a real highlight of my day! I'm uploading the video now but will post it here as soon as it's uploaded!

Soon it was time to leave and walk the red carpet - so exciting, I had butterflies! Here are some pics of me on the red carpet and also of my hair which was done by the team.

The ceremony was amazing, to see so many brilliant actors and actresses in one room was such a surreal and unforgettable experience, I think I felt this the most when Bradley Cooper and Ben Affleck came on stage to present an award - together!! After the ceremony we went for dinner and I was back to back with George Clooney - another pinch me moment!

Dior Show Art Pen review!

So many brands seem to be releasing these eyeliner 'pen' products and I haven't seen what all the fuss is about really, until now! I haven't reviewed one before because I haven't found one that I could really recommend as lots of them haven't lived up to my expectations. The new Dior Show Art Pen, however, ticks all the boxes!

The problem I have found with others in particular is that they are not pigmented enough so you are left with a watery greyish colour, but the Dior pen is really pigmented and is a brilliant intense black. It is also incredibly easy to use, the tip of the pen is so fine so you can make perfect ticks and get right into the corners, but the pen then gets thicker towards the base so you can use it for creating strong liner looks too. The other bonus about this one is that it lasts, I can put the liner on in the morning and it will be there at the end of the day just like gel liner!

The concept of these pens products is such a good idea and the Dior Art Pen totally does what you would want a product like this to do - for it to be a super speedy and easy way to creating a perfect liner look that you can rely on to last! Honestly, now this is in my make-up bag I can't see it coming out, its a great product to carry round with you.

Definitely worth a try, you can get yours here for £23 - you won't regret it!

My favourite pieces from the Chanel Spring 2013 collection!

Hi everyone,

I absolutely love the Chanel Spring collection, it's such a warm toned and wearable collection yet each piece manages to stand out and be really appealing. I love the colourful and playful nature the collection has - very Spring like! These are my favourite products from it...

I love this peachy coloured Joues Contraste blush in shade 76 Frivole, it adds the perfect amount of subtle colour and I love the apricot tone to it which makes a nice change from a pink blush - perfect for Spring weather!

Next are these fantastic Long Lasting waterproof eyeliners. I love the colour variety as each is a subtle, shimmery and pretty colour and I would wear all of them. They are are actually really well pigmented and are really easy to work with for creating various liner looks with them. As for how waterproof they are, I haven't been near any water wearing them but they are a little difficult to get off which is always a good sign for waterproof products but not when you're half asleep trying to get your make up off! Last of all are these gorgeous Rouge Allure Luminous Satin lipsticks and their gorgeous matching 'Extrait De Gloss' glosses. I'm a massive fan of Chanel lipsticks and glosses, everything from their packaging to their quality but particularly their colour range I love! I love how in this collection in particular there is a subtle and natural variety but also a sparkly aubergine colour to chose from as well! When I opened the purple shades, I was not expecting this to be a part of the Spring collection but I absolutely love these products, they are really wearable deep aubergines for any of you who are wanting to try out the purple look - I love it!

Charles Worthington Salon At Home Instant Amplifying Volume Treatment review

Hey everyone!

Hope you are having a lovely Sunday. I've recently been trying out this new Charles Worthington Instant Amplifying Volume Treatment from their Salon at Home range. I've been really loving this range and think some of the products are real stars and fill a much needed gap in the haircare market. When they released this product I was really excited to try it out as I am always on the hunt for new volume enhancing products.

You use it in place of a conditioner, so right after shampooing. It has a really peculiar texture as it is like a gel which feels really odd to be putting on your hair (and also means it's really slippery!), but it makes up for the weird texture in the amazing smell it has - it literally smells like you are sat in the salon having the best treatments but all from the comfort of your own bathroom, bonus! They encourage you to really rub the product in to your scalp and to work through the hair from root to tip and leave for a while before rinsing.

When you come round to drying, they advise you to dry your hair upside down working at the roots as you go. In terms of a conditioner, my hair looked really healthy and shiny and it also felt nice and soft but in terms of how it increases the volume of your hair then I'm really not sure. Sadly, there was no particular difference in how much bounce my hair had. I would say though that when used with other styling products, this product gave my hair a great initial boost and I could make my hair its most voluminous and I'm sure it was this product helped along the way! Perhaps I haven't been drying my hair the correct way so I'll keep going with it, because it does make a gorgeous conditioner anyhow!

Revlon 'Colorstay' 16 hour eyeshadow palettes

Hi everyone!

I wanted to share with you these two palettes from the Revlon Colorstay range. I think they are fantastic little palettes not just because they are affordable but because I love the colour combinations which are so practical and I'm sure you will use up every shade entirely! I particularly love the 'Decadent' set (the one below) and some of you may recognise it from the Blake Lively tutorial I did at the end of Summer, it's a great one for creating a wearable brown smokey eye and you can alter it for a day or night look!

The other palette, 'Enchanted', has slightly cooler tones with the grey and the green and this great for for a more dramatic smokey eye, or using the darker tones as liners and definers. There really are so many looks to get out of these quads! There are tips on the back too for creating a look using all the shadows which is a lovely addition.

There are not the most pigmented of shadows as you may be able to see but I love the shimmer in them and they last for a long time too. Handily, they come in small and narrow casing which means they are perfect for popping in your handbag should you need an eyeshadow boost!

At £7.99 I think they are a great buy.

Laura Mercier Spring 2013 'Arabesque' Collection

Hi everyone!

Hope you are all well! I've recently been trying out the Laura Mercier Spring collection and I particularly love one of the main features of the collection - this beautiful baked eye colour palette entitled 'Free Spirit', I love the shimmering candy tones that the palette has to offer, and I love the lightness and tones of the shades. As you can see from the swatches, they aren't the most pigmented of shadows but I think this is the intention - instead they offer a pretty, colour and diverse selection that have a radiant finish.

Like with practically all Laura Mercier make-up products, the palette offers a really wearable selection of colours and doesn't compromise on quality. They shadows have a beautifully soft texture which means that they blend brilliantly and you can also build on the colour and really blend them into each other to get your desired look. Along with the palette from the collection, I also really love this cream blush called 'Rosebud'. As a big fan of cream blush, I think this one in particular fits so well with the candy coloured palette as it is such a pretty pastel pink but it has a lovely warmth to it that really lights up the face - perfect for putting the spring in your step at this time of year!

Dior Cherie Bow Palette

Hi everyone!

Hope you're having a lovely weekend! I just wanted to share the ultra girly and gorgeous palette from Dior with you guys, the exclusive Cherie Bow palette. How lovely does it look?! I love the unique, pretty and luxurious packaging it comes in, Dior palettes always seem to be particularly heavy which I think gives them such a glamorous edge.

Inside is a perfect combination of gloss, liner and shadows. I was particularly impressed with the idea of having a liner in a palette, it definitely makes this one a great all rounder and perfect for your handbag (although it's too pretty to be hidden away!!) The shadows are lovely and versatile too, two shimmery neutrals - the one on the left being a great highlight - and then a warm peachy pink which can double up as a blush as well. Underneath the Dior 'door' lies a pretty pink lip gloss...

Along with the lovely products are mini applicators, I personally wouldn't use these but they're fine for on the go application. I love how big the mirror is too - you can see your whole face! I took these pictures before I had tried out the palette as it looked so beautiful and unspoilt but I've since been using it and give it a big thumbs up!

Guerlain Cils d'Enfer Maxi Lash mascara

So Guerlain have just released their new Cils d'Enfer Maxi Lash mascara. As you guys know, the mascara stakes are high for me because I already have my firm favourites, one of which - Maybelline's 'The Falsies' - has a considerably lower price to this one. However, I am always open to trying out new ones and I thought I would share this one with you as I actually really love it and was impressed by how good it was!

On first look, I was immediately drawn to its packaging. Like with many Guerlain products, the mascara had a really luxurious weightiness to it and a glamorous edge which I love. Inside the brush was not perhaps the most volume suggestive, but I was fooled because it gives so much volume! Instead this is an advantage because as the brush isn't too big it means that it is easy to work with and you can do your mascara smudge free and successfully reach every lash. After only a couple of strokes my eyelashes suddenly appeared more curly and prominent yet not at all clogged up or stuck together, instead the mascara simultaneously fans out the lashes but gives so much volume and life to them... a couple of people have even asked if I was wearing falsies! An extra bonus is that when you pull the wand out of the tube... it smells like roses! After a second coat my mascaras were very oh la la - fluttery and dramatic!

Another major plus point for this one is that even though the consistency is quite wet, it is incredibly easy to get off at the end of the day. I have real issues with some mascaras and really don't like how they can cling on to your lashes and takes ages to completely get off, especially when all you want to do is go to sleep! Granted at £22 this is a bit of a mascara splurge but if you are looking for great quality with a splash of luxury and are willing to pay for it then I recommend you check this one out!

Clarins Rouge Eclat Lipsticks

Hi everyone!

Hope you had a lovely weekend! Clarins have recently launched their all new Rouge Eclat lipsticks and I think they are really lovely from the inside out! I love the sleek gold packaging they come in and the spectrum of colours available - all of them are really wearable, but with a good mix of classic and unique to chose from!

They feel absolutely gorgeous to wear and they have a lovely scent to them (blackberry and liquorice!), they are really moisturising yet the colour lasts so brilliantly - I've worn the red shade a couple of times and it honestly lasts for a really long time, even after eating. What makes them extra special is that this lipstick is the first age-defying lipstick from the brand, in other words, it boosts collagen and keeps lips hydrated with lots of lovely plant waxes to keep your lips comfortable and soft.

In total there are 15 beautiful shades but I particularly love these four -

Jo Malone Earl Grey & Cucumber Cologne

I always get excited when a new Jo Malone fragrance is released, I always find the combinations so beautiful and thoughtfully chosen. When I got my hands on the new Earl Grey & Cucumber cologne I was instantly drawn to its quintessentially British theme and also because I thought this was quite a unique addition to the amazing Jo Malone range. I instantly thought of freshness from the cucumber, and as a massive fan of Earl Grey I was intrigued as to how this would work in the fragrance.

The result: a deliciously fresh and fragrant scent but with a depth and richness at its base. To explain, the initial burst of fragrance is from Bergamot which gives it its Earl Grey element, this is then coupled with the cucumber element to give it freshness and vibrancy, but the scent still remains rich and warm because the base notes are beeswax, vanilla and musk which give it sweetness. I think it makes for the perfect every day scent and it is instantly recognisable. My only negative would be that the cucumber element doesn't last all day, with just the muskiness left at the end of the day, that's not a bad thing at all it's just other Jo Malone scents seem to resonate more than this one does!

It's afternoon tea bottled up in a scent, in the best possible way!

Definitely check this out if you are passing a Jo Malone counter, it's a really unique and welcomed addition to the range which I'm sure will become a firm favourite for Jo Malone fans!

Trilogy Everything Balm

Good evening lovely people!

I just wanted to spread the love about this little pot of wonder, Trilogy's Everything Balm. It literally does what it says on the tin (pot!) - everything! I can't think of a more handbag ready and handy product to have by your side at all times. The balm can be used pretty much anywhere on your body, for soothing chapped/dry/rough skin, for cuticules, for moisturising, as a lip balm, as a massage oil, even on your baby! This product is ideal for flights, as you literally halve your toiletry bag with this product.

Most importantly, it works. I absolutely love the texture, the balm is hard in the pot but then melts into your fingers and then absorbs into the skin like a dream. It contains rose hip oil - along with lots of other goodness - which makes it smells great. The jojoba, olive, avocado, honey and vitamin E (just to name a few!) all help to naturally nourish and condition the skin and keeps it soft and healthy.

I've looked it up on the internet and it seems to vary in price depending on where you get it from but it ranges between £10-£15 generally. Feel Unique stocks it for £11.25 and I love that site for beauty buys. The pot is a great size and I always find with balms that a little stretches a long way so it is great value for a top notch product!

Charles Worthington Diamond Shine Gloss Treatment

I was a bit dubious about this product when I first started using it. This was mainly because of the way it works – you put it all over dry hair, and then shampoo and condition like normal. I wondered how it could have that much of an effect after both shampooing and conditioning, how wrong I was! It’s definitely called Diamond Shine for a reason, after drying my hair it instantly looked more luscious, glossy and hydrated even after just using it once. The way it works is by Charles Worthington's combination of powdered diamonds (!) and Luminoil Complex to both smooth the hair on the outside and to penetrate it from the inside, so it basically shines from the inside out!

This is a great one for any of you who have dull and lack-lustre hair, as it’s a perfect pick me up for your mane! You leave it to work for ten minutes and a little extra tip is to warm the hair using a hair dryer once the treatment is on - this encourages further penetration which means more shine for us! I wouldn’t use it every wash, but every other wash is perfect for ultimate shine and gloss.

Estee Lauder Sumptuous Extreme mascara

Hi everyone!

So today I am reviewing Estee Lauder's Sumptuous Extreme mascara, but to liven up the post a bit I thought I'd show you the green and blue versions for a bit of fun! They of course do black and brown as well but I thought it would be more interesting to add a splash of colour to the post. I actually really like this mascara, in particular I think the wand is brilliant as it's so big and voluminous as you can see. The mascara applies and lasts really well and you can achieve optimum results with only a couple of strokes. It is not the most dramatic of mascaras but it is good for easily separating and fanning out the lashes which gives a really pretty, fluttery appearance which is nice for a more natural girly look.

If we talk about colour then I absolutely love how electric these two colours are. I called upon my friend Kate to trial the blue one whilst I wore the green. Kate said she would wear the blue as it comes out more subtly than it looks in the tube, so it would make a fun alternative to black or brown. The green, however, I think isn't the most wearable of colours but it would be awesome for a creative/dress up look!

What do you guys think? Colour aside, I love the finish of the mascara and also it is a dream to get off! Some mascaras can really stick to your lashes but this one comes off easily which is a big bonus for me!

AERIN Holiday Collection lip products

Hello everyone!

Welcome to the first post of 2013! I hope you all had lovely New Years Eve's. This is a particularly exciting post for me as I think these lip products are simply brilliant. AERIN (part of Estee Lauder) is the brainchild of Aerin Lauder, she launched her collection in September with an aim to achieve effortless and stylish beauty. Each one of these products is right up my street and I love everything about them from the colour, the quality to the packaging. I particularly like the packaging of the gloss with it's shimmering golden case, it is so pretty to look at! These pieces come from the current Holiday Color Collection.

These lipsticks are the perfect colour range for me - two nudes, one bright and one dark and beautiful. They have such a velvet texture and leave a beautiful shine on the lips which makes them so comfortable to wear yet the pigment of the colour does not suffer at all and despite their consistency, they last all day. The lipsticks themselves are mini's which makes them perfect for having one (or two) in your handbag, it also manages to make them somewhat more appealing in their dainty gold cases!

The gloss I particularly love, because like I mentioned, the packaging is so lovely and I love how the gloss comes in a compact - it gives it an extra special feel. The gloss, appropriately named 'Nude'. has such a creamy consistency and I love the light brown colour, it makes for such a natural but stylish gloss that also looks great over the lipsticks. Like with all AERIN products it has an amazing rose scent to it which honestly smells good enough to eat! (You can see the gloss swatch at the end of the other swatches).

If you haven't checked out the AERIN range then you definitely should! It's completely new to me but I am so glad to have discovered it!

Hi everyone!

Who's excited for NYE? I hope you've all had a happy and healthy 2012! Last night Jim and I, along with our friend Kate, went along to one of our favourite restaurants in Norfolk, the Wildebeest. It's such a tucked away gem right out in the countryside but I thought it would merit a blog post because it can be quite difficult finding great restaurants in this area, and this is definitely one of them. As well as this, the food is so beautifully presented so it makes for lovely photos and if any of you are passing by then you should definitely pop in!

We started off with some bread and a lovely glass of red wine.

For starter, Jim had haddock and mussel risotto whilst Kate and I had the same - beef carpaccio with a horseradish sorbet which was so good.

For main, Jim had monkfish tail with a pea risotto and other yummy things, Kate and I went for the same again and had sea bream with chorizo gnocchi and greens which I thought just looked beautiful on the plate! (And some thrice cooked chips with gruyere on the side too!)

We all rounded the meal off with white chocolate and ginger cheesecake with salted caramel ice cream and almond biscotti, it was so so delicious and so beautifully presented.

They take bookings, so if you're ever on a Norfolk adventure check them out. If not, then I hope you enjoy the photos and maybe get some inspiration anyway!

BENEFIT Brow Zings

Hi everyone!

So you guys know how much of a massive fan I am of eyebrows. I think they can be so beautiful and a real defining feature of a look and personality. The model Cara Delevigne has the most enviable eyebrows, and lucky for her they are completely full and natural (see pic!) But if you're like me, then you might need that little extra push to get your eyebrows looking even half as good as hers! I spend quite a lot of time doing my brows for I think they can completely transform your face and be a key part to getting you looking your best, this means I am always on the hunt for a good brow product. I am a big fan of a simple powder and angle brush combination, and also my trusty Tom Ford waxy brow sculptor, however - as you might have seen in my recent video - I have found a new product that I love for brows, Benefit Brow Zings.

Essentially, this little brow saver in a box is formed of two elements - a lighter powder, and a darker waxy formula. They come in three shades (light, medium, dark) and I'm pretty sure there is a shade for everyone to work with. Along with the two products, you get a couple of shaping brushes, one for application and one for blending, which I wouldn't use) and also a really tiny pair of tweezers which are actually really good. So put all together you have a box fit for brow perfection!

The way I use it is to take an angle brush (MAC 266 for example), and start by using the wax to create your desired brow shape and definition, then, using the same brush, work some of the powder along the brow shape you have created as this will set the wax shape in place. You may have noticed that I used it the other way round in my Christmas make-up tutorial, but that way just worked for me on the day so however you feel you want to use it is fine! The brilliant thing about this product, which is thanks to the wax, is that it lasts. The problem with using powder only is that if you were in a really hot environment then the powder can be prone to smudging which leads to you losing the shape of your brows, the wax however really locks in the shape and keeps your brows in place whatever the weather!

Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama gel eyeliner

Hey guys!

Hope you all had a happy and healthy Christmas! I can't believe it's happened already! Anyway here I am back on the blog after a lovely festive time! So, I'm sure if you watch my videos that you'll know how much of a gel liner fan I am. I literally use it most days and find it such a brilliant product. Many people speak of the Bobbi Brown and MAC liners which, whilst I do agree that they are brilliant, they also have an amazing drug store competitor - the Maybelline Eye Studio gel eyeliner. I honestly think that it's just as good as its high end rivals but at half the price!

This liner comes in such great packaging, I love the silver lid it has as it makes it stand out from other gel liners. The quality of the liner itself is fantastic, it is an absolute dream to work with and glides on brilliantly and makes room for mistakes and errors as you can easily wipe it off with your finger as soon as it has been applied. Once you have your desired shape, you can rely on it to last all day but for it to simply be removed with your make-up remover. If you don't want to splash out on a high end dupe, then definitely check out this Maybelline alternative, at the moment it only comes in the black shade, but I'm sure this is what a lot of you are after anyway, for me it is perfect for everyday wear. It claims it lasts for 24 hours although I cannot vouch for this as it's not often I have make-up on for 24 hour stints, although I can assure you that it does last from when I put it on from when I take it off. At £7.99 I think it is a fantastic product, it comes with a brush as well, and although I wouldn't personally use it, it does do the job for getting a signature eyeliner look.

Hi guys,

2 more sleeps to go to Christmas- so excited!! Another thing that I am also excited about is the launch of the all new and amazing Rimmel 'Apocalips' lip laquer! In stores January 23rd these are little wands of wonder, essentially they are a hybrid between a gloss and lipstick because as you can see from the swatches below they are so so pigmented but with a gorgeous gloss and shine.

I love the colour range too as they are really wearable but are simultaneously fun and unique. Another reason why I rate them so much is because despite being uber glossy, they last so well. I wore a bright pink one out the other night and it was still mess free and colourful on my lips when I got home. At £5.49 they are great value for a seriously lovely lip product and I definitely suggest you check them out. Rimmel keep bringing out such great products at the moment and 'Apocalips' certainly adds to this winning streak!

Kerastase Initialiste

I'm sure some of you guys know how much of a Kerastase fan I am. Their products just work so well with my hair type and I get exactly what I need out of their shampoos and conditioners. Asides from shampoo and conditioner, I'm not a huge hair product hoarder, but when I saw that Kerastase were launching this new product I needed to try it!

Kerastase Initialiste is a scalp and hair concentrate that you leave to dry in towel dried hair. From the pipette, I use about 4 squirts and work it into damp hair, right from route to tip, and when your hair dries..... it looks amazing! The concertate nourishes with sparkling glossy results, and leaves the hair feeling incredibly soft and shiny. Appearance aside, it actually gives the hair a thicker feel and prevents hair from breakage which is perfect for my hair type. It reduces any frizz significantly and instead you are left with super smooth locks!

Like all Kerastase products, it smells amazing, the serum is filled with a stem cell that comes from apples so I wonder if that gives it the gorgeous scent. This stem-cell technology is actually technology found in skincare products, and this comes about from Kerastase's aim to improve the look, feel and quality of the hair by concentrating on the scalp. in fact I'm pretty sure that I heard that they are the first people to do this!

I've only been using it for a couple of weeks and already love it - even though they suggest using it for a three times a week for a month for optimum results. Even after using it once my hair looked noticeably improved. Either way, this is a guaranteed route to a good hair day and I love it!

Corinthia London pics!

Hey guys!

Hope you're all having a good week - I can't believe Christmas is a week away, it's so exciting! I know I've done a room tour on my vlog channel of the Corinthia hotel but I thought I would do a post as well. Sometimes I think it's nice to break up the blog a bit and put some lifestyle posts in the mix and not have solely beauty posts, I don't know about you but I personally love lifestyle posts! It's also great for those of you across the pond to get an idea of what this amazing city has to offer!

So we stayed here last week before we flew off to New York and it is just the most impressive hotel, from the decor to the service. They make you feel so welcome and it was such a comfortable stay and experience. The location is amazing too as it is right by Trafalgar square, making it perfect to pop out and be only footsteps away from anything you could need.

I just want to thank all of you for your incredible well wishes and kind words, it has been overwhelming and so touching to hear all of your congratulatory tweets and comments. We love you guys and it means so much!!

Beautiful Burberry Palettes!

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share with you these beautiful Burberry palettes that I have tried out recently, I think they make for the perfect gift or for a bit of beauty indulgence! As I'm sure some of you know, I am a Burberry fanatic, everything from the clothes, the make-up, the campaigns, the models and their ethos I admire and find inspiring and ever since Burberry beauty launched I am yet to be at all disappointed by anything from the range.

So when I got hold of these palettes... I was very excited!! With the beauty range, I particularly love Burberry's colour choices and the packaging of the products - both are so effortlessly chic, stylish, and quintessentially Burberry. With these eyeshadow palettes, I love how they have the Burberry check embossed on to the powder and the way the shadows are packaged is so original. In terms of quality, and as you will see from the swatches, they are not the most pigmented of shadows and have a more sheer finish but I like how some of the more neutral shadows have a really understated appearance. Each palette has a really handy combination of colours for creating multiple looks.

This first palette is called No.6 'Plum Pink' and has the most autumnal selection of warm purple and browns. I think this one might just be my favourite.

Next is the the palette No.7 'Pink Taupe', this is more of a neutral quad but I think the colours look beautiful together and allow for unique looks to be created.

Last of all is palette No.1 'Smokey Grey'. This is more of a dramatic palette which would be perfect for creating a lovely smokey eye, a great one for nights out.

Five festive lipsticks!

Hey everyone!

So I thought I would share with you my top wintery lipsticks that are perfect for the festive season. These ones are separate from the ones I have used in my recent tutorials as I thought you may like to see some different ones I like. The ones on my tutorials are also my winter favourites as well - these are MAC's 'Rebel' in my 'How To Look Gorgeous For A Night Out' tutorial which you can see here, and Maybelline's 'Pleasure Me Red' lipstick which I put in my recent 'How To Look Glamourous For A Christmas Party' video which you can see here.

First up is this fun and festive red colour from Collection 2000 in the colour 'Cherry Pop' and as the title suggests, it's a really cherry red. I like it because it is fun and bright and a great one to liven up any make-up and give it a Christmassy and wintery warmth. Plus, I couldn't really have a festive post without a staple red could I!?

This is the first of two everyday type colours. Although it looks dark, this colour 'I Tink I Love You' from Benefit has a really sheer finish. The colour is pigmented but not at all matte and it glides on with a glossy consistency which I love. It has a plum tint to it which makes it warming whilst the shimmer to it gives it a unique colour and doesn't make the colour so intense.

The other 'everyday' colour is MAC's 'Cosmo'. This is such a sophisticated and rich nude with a really warm tone. This is great for both pale and darker skin tones, if you have pale skin then it will come out much stronger but I love the way it looks. This is a great all rounder for colour, sophistication, everyday wear and texture.

This is a lipstick I have loved for such a long time - Estee Lauder's 'Bitten Fig', this is the most colourful berry deep pink colour that just instantly makes you look glamourous. I would pair it with lots of sparkly gold eyeshadow for an amazing party look. I just absolutely love the colour and the gold packaging it comes in. The consistency is absolutely gorgeous - really pigmented in colour but with a beautiful silky finish that stays put on the lips and has lasting shimmer. I love it!

Last up is Chanel's 'L'Impatiente' from this years Christmas collection. This is a really strong aubergine colour that is so beautiful on the lip. I think this one looks great with minimal eye make-up and really fresh faced skin as it definitely stands as the feature of a make-up look. The packaging is so effortlessly chic as well - the perfect festive treat!

Maybelline FIT Me concealer review!

Hey guys!

So a while ago I reviewed Maybelline's FIT Me foundation (you can read that here) and lots of you agreed that it is a really good foundation so I decided to review the concealer as well! The concealer goes pretty much hand in hand with the foundation meaning that I think that it is really good as well! The packaging is nothing to write home about with its simple and standard design but I love the product itself. For a concealer it has quite a runny consistency which makes it good for blending and working with. You may think that because it is runny that it lacks in the pigment department but I actually love the finish it gives albeit not the most thick and pigmented consistency. It makes under my eyes appear brighter whilst successfully covering any darkness and imperfections rounded off with a fresh and natural appearance. The applicator makes it good for covering blemishes too because it only applies a small amount of product which you can then build up if you need to!

I love this concealer for an every day carry around one that has multiple uses for covering and perfecting. The colour (25) suits me perfectly as well and I would recommend any of you guys trying it out - at £5.99 I think it is a great inexpensive but quality buy!

Products of the week!

Hey guys, here is some products I have been loving this week!

First up is one of my favourite perfumes - Jo Malone 'Dark Amber and Ginger Lily' Cologne Intense. This the most gorgeous scent for this time of year in particular, it has such a warming and rich scent that has a really calming element to it that I love. I love the sophisticated packaging of this range also, I think it is so chic and compliments the type of perfume it is perfectly! Have any of you guys tried this?

Next is this red lipstick from the Maybelline Super Stay 14hr lipstick collection in the colour 'Non-Stop Red. I absolutely love this shade because it is more of a fun red rather than a super sophisticated one which I think makes it perfect if you are looking for an every day red lipstick. I really rate the quality of these lipsticks because although I can't 100% agree that they stay in place for 14 hours, I do think that -considering they are not completely matte - they have amazing staying power. You can pop this on and eat and drink for a really long time before the lipstick wares even though the texture is creamy and soft, the pigment is great as well.

I am always on the hunt for a decent this spray and this 'pure abundance' spray from Aveda ticks lots of boxes! This hair spray is completely unique because it sprays out with a watery consistency but then goes tacky on the hair which means that it is great for holding hair in place. When it is rubbed into the scalp, the forumla means that it clings to the hair and gives it amazing volume that lasts. It smells amazingly fresh as well and doesn't have any of that chemical smell that other hairsprays have and because of its consistency, it doesn't leave the hair feeling dry or crispy. This is a high end hairspray but I think hairspray is a good product to invest in should you find the one that works best for you.

Hi guys,

This is just a quick post to share my Christmas cheer with you! I am feeling so so Christmassy with all the lights everywhere, the parties and the food and drink and last but not least it's VLOGMAS!!! I hope you guys have been enjoying the videos so far, it's a pleasure doing them and sharing my days with you and it's also nice for me to document all the festiveness!

I also just want to say a huge thank you for supporting the blog and giving it some love. I love reading through your comments and seeing what kind of products you like to use and would recommend. I am really enjoying being back in the swing of blogging and it just wouldn't be the complete package without having some Christmas love on the blog!

Products of the week!

So it's been a while since I have done one of these but here are some products that have impressed me recently!

First up is this salt scrub from Organic Surge. Organic Surge is a brand that I've always noticed as it is sold in Waitrose and John Lewis but had never really picked up until recently. I think the products are such good value and deliver on quality and are great all rounders. This particular product is from the more expensive end of the range but I am so a big fan of a salt scrub and this one works brilliantly! Salt scrubs are amazing for this time of year as they really work at getting rid of dry skin, but in particular with this one and as you can see from the photos, it comes in an oily texture which really hydrates the skin and keeps it feeling lovely and soft. The smell of this is so gorgeous as well - it's really fresh but with a sophisticated and rich element to it which I love!

Next is this 'Instant Oomph' powder from VO5. I think these powders are great and I love this one for its value and the fact that it is not too sticky unlike its fellow volume powders. Most important, it works! I do find that I have to top it up every now and then but just a few shakes of this and you have instant amazing volume. You can feel it in your hair but it is not at all uncomfortable on the scalp and sometimes to get great volume you have to pay a little price! I also love VO5's packaging - girly and pink is right up my street!

Next is this Creamy Eye Treatment from Kiehl's. It is so super moisturising and I absolutely love the consistency as it's really rich but blends around the eye with no excess oil or shine. The avocado element gives skin that extra moisture it needs around the eyes and you only need a little bit to fully cover the eye area. Have any of you guys tried this?

Last up is this Nails Inc Vitamin E oil pen. I absolutely LOVE this. It's absolutely amazing just to have in your handbag and then throw it on whenever. On one end is a brush and you simply pop the oil all over the nail and cuticle and it keeps the nails hydrated and stops those dry bits from around the nail coming back so your nails look perfect!

Urban Decay VICE palette!

Hey guys!

So I may be slighty late jumping on the bandwagon with this one because I know it has been out a while, but I have just started using this palette and I think it is one of the best palettes Urban Decay has to offer - it is called the Vice Palette, and it is one of my favourites of the Urban Decay bunch along with the amazing NAKED's. Although fun, lots of Urban Decay's previous palettes have come in excessive packaging which makes them a bit impractical so I love the simplicity of this one.

The design not only looks good but it is fantastically made compared to others like it. The shadows are boxed up in a really solid, water resistant package, which, with the click of a button, opens up to reveal twenty amazing shadows. Inside is also a really big mirror that shows your whole face so I think this is an excellent use of space. Of course, unlike the NAKED's, this isn't your typical throw in the handbag palette as it is quite big, but I think it makes the perfect compliment to a dressing table and the versatility of this palette is like no other. Now on to the shadows...

I think I have said before that Urban Decay shadows shed quite a bit so be aware of that when you are applying them but let this not be a reason to get in the way of how amazing the shadows are otherwise. The quality is lovely for they are both super pigmented but also the forumla is finely milled so they blend beautifully. What I think this palette in particular offers is scope to create an abundance of incredible looks and I think all the shadows are uniquely interesting and eyecatching. I love how it offers soft golden smokey colours then really bright colours, along with staple nudes and blacks - I'm sure there is a few shadows in there for everyone. Spa at St. Giles, Norwich

Hey everyone!

So there is a spa that I use on a regular basis in my hometown, Norwich and I wanted to share it with you guys because I absolutely love it and get all my treatments done there. The people, the atmosphere and of course the treatments themselves are just fantastic. The spa is at the St Giles House hotel and I know quite a few of you guys live close by to here so it might interest you, but if you don't then I hope you enjoy the pictures and perhaps it might make you book that festive appointment at your local spa!

This weekend, My best friend Kate and I went along and had a joint full body massage there. Kate had had massages before but had never been to St Giles hotel for one and she absolutely loved it too. The massages are tailor made to meet your needs and the staff ensure that the massage is just the way you want it to be before you have it done. The only downside is that they are totally addictive!! So they leave you wanting to go back for more and more...

Kate stuck with the regular full body treatment but I asked for mine to be focused on my back as I get a lot of tension there and the massage left me feeling completely revived and relaxed. For one hour Kate and I dissolved into pure relaxation and it is the perfect place to ease your thoughts and have some proper chill time, the beds are super comfy too and are nice and wide for you to spread out on! Afterwards we were given champagne and strawberries which was the perfect end to our massages.

The products they use are the fantastic ILA products, I have only used them in the spa here and I particularly love the refreshing but calming scent of the 'Vital Energy' oil they used on us. Have any of you guys used ILA products?

For those of you in and around the Norwich area, I would highly recommend paying a visit to St Giles House hotel spa, for me they have the whole package of everything you could want from a spa experience. If you don't live near by then I'd love to hear your favourite treatments that you have had done before.

Christmas gifts from Philosophy!

Hey guys!

So bath and body brand Philosophy have some amazing festive treats this year and I thought I would share the ones I have with you. I got some Christmas shopping in early and I just think these make brilliant gifts and are suited to anyone. I have loved Philosophy for such a long time, the products smell absolutely amazing and they work wonders too. I also love their bath, shampoo and body wash combinations because the 3-in-1 aspect to them is so practical!

First up is this lovely 'winter escape' trio. I think the box they come in is so sweet and Christmassy and inside is a vanilla frost scented body moisturiser, lip gloss and shampoo, shower gel and bubble bath. The scent of this is just heavenly, it is so warm and sweet and rich that it makes the perfect winter treat to the skin. I love their bubble baths as they really foam up and combined with the moisturiser, they leave the skin feeling really soft and nourished with the lovely musky vanilla scent.

This has to be one of the sweetest beauty products I have ever seen! A miniature 'purity' face cleanser that is presented as a Christmas bauble! I have loved this cleanser for such a long time, it's great because it can be used on the eyes as well and completely gets rid of all make-up. Because of the oily and soft forumla of this product it just melts into the skin making it feel super silky and hydrated at the same time. It is definitely worth checking out and this miniature size is a perfect trial size, plus it would look so lovely hanging on a tree! I also think it is such good value as it is only £9 here in the U.K so it would be perfect finishing touch to someones present!

The last thing I got was this 'sugar plum fairy' gift set. I was mainly attracted to this because of the fantastic purple shimmery colour, I think it is just so fun and unique. In the really cute box is the shampoo, shower gel and bubble bath and a lip gloss to go with it. I think as a duo it works really well because shower products on their own are really lovely, but the lip gloss gives a more luxurious and special twist. I think the names of all the Philosophy products are so fun as well and the packaging just makes them really well presented gifts.

I will definitely be stocking up on some more of these perfect gifts and stocking fillers for Christmas. I'm starting to feel so Christmassy now guys! Have any of you got well ahead with your Christmas shopping and what other brands do you think make great Christmas gifts?

My favourite pieces from the Chanel Christmas collection!

Hey guys!

So Chanel's Christmas collection entitled 'Eclats du Soir' recently arrived on Chanel counters so I thought I would share my favourite pieces from the collection with you as I think they make the most beautiful and festive gifts. As usual with Chanel, I love the collection and everything about the product from the packaging to the quality makes them the perfect festive treats!

My first favourite piece is this beautiful lip gloss in the colour 357 Mystery. It is the perfect warm everyday pink colour and I have been wearing it all the time either in the day for a natural look or to compliment a smokey eye for night time. I love Chanel glosses so much, the wear so nicely on the lips without feeling sticky and they last for a long time too. Not only this but there is something about the packaging of the Chanel glosses in particular that is so appealing to me so I love having one in my handbag.

Next is this beautiful 'Illusion d'Ombre' whipped shadow in the shade 817 Apparance. I'm such a big fan of these cream shadow pots as I think they are so effective and easy to work with. This one in particular goes the extra step for me because I love how gorgeous and golden the colour is and these little pots of Chanel goodness are so soft and creamy that they glide on to the skin really beautifully and take minimal effort to create a super gorgeous look. This shade in particular is so festive to me and will be a great one for a Christmas party or just for that extra bit of glitter! It has quite a sheer finish but I like its subtly and it is a colour you can build up if you want a more intense finish.

Last of all is this simply beautiful eyeshadow quad named 'Harmonie Du Soir'. I love this colour range, for it is simultaneously unique yet practical for creating lots of different looks. I was actually pleasantly surprised by the colour pay off of this palette as often I find Chanel shadows not to be the most pigmented, but as you can see from the swatches it is a pretty good colour. I love the C's embossed on to the shadow, although it doesn't last there for too long I think it is the most sophisticated and special touch which would make it a lovely present!

Hey guys!

So a lot of you have asked me for a review of the new Maybelline FIT Me foundation, so after a while of using the foundation, here it is!

I think Maybelline is such a great drugstore brand so I was really excited to try out the foundation and I had high hopes for it ,and as well as already loving the brand, it was the adverts on TV that definitely gave me these high hopes too! After wearing the foundation for a while now, I would definitely recommend it for its value, coverage, finish and blend. This is a brilliant foundation for any of you who have slightly oily skin because it doesn't have a dewy finish but instead dries quite matte whilst still retaining the skins natural glow.

It blends seamlessly into the skin and is very long wearing - I put it on in the morning and it will really last me until I take it off at night. The colour range is great too, I have been wearing shade 225 which is definitely a colour that I could only wear when I am tanned as it is quite dark but it suits me perfectly. As some of you guys know, I do go for foundations that have a more dewy finish but I have been converted to this more matte finish, it is especially great in the winter months here. I find that 1-2 pumps is ample to get a flawless and full coverage finish, and I like to use a buffing brush with this foundation to get achieve a seamless, fresh faced and natural look.

It's absolutely great to find a really good drugstore foundation as I am always on the look out for one! At £6.79 here in the U.K I think it is incredible value for the product you get!

Two of my favourite London restaurants!

I have been in London so much recently, and one day last week my friend Kate and I went shopping for a special dress.... You may have heard me say in my recent vlog that I am attending the Twilight premiere this week! I am so so excited, I have never been to anything like that before and the Twilight series is one of my all time favourites!

So in between dress hunting, we stopped off for food at two of my favourite places and I thought I would share them with you as not only is the food just great, but they are really fun places to grab a bite to eat. Eventually, we did find such a lovely dress and I will be sure to show you guys as I will be taking you along to the premiere with me!

The first restaurant is Wahaca. Wahaca is a Mexican street food restaurant with a really cool and relaxed vibe, we went to their Soho branch with many other restaurants popping up all over London and further afield. What I love about this place is how it can cater for any occasion - whether it's for a pit stop lunch of a long dinner with some of their lovely cocktails. It is one of those restaurants where you chose from lots of different plates to share (or to have yourself!), so you can order as much or as little as you want. If you are on a budget then you can still go there and have a Mexican feast without breaking the bank which is great. The vibe is really fun, and everything in there is so colourful and the staff are really lovely. Kate and I shared a few dishes between us so here is some of what we had... (If you are an guacamole fan like us, then you have to try their guacamole - it's so good!)

Later, we went for afternoon tea at one of the funnest and most interesting restaurants London has got to offer, Sketch. I absolutely love this place because it is just so unique and exciting to visit. Unlike Wahaca, Sketch is a bit more pricey and more of an 'occasion' type place o visit, but it is worth every penny. It has an Aladin's cave feel to it with so much going on and so much to look at - even the toilets are the most exciting I have been to if you can say such a thing! We sat and had the most delicious cakes and sipped tea from some of the prettiest china I have ever seen. Everyone that works there is so lovely and everything is so delicious. Afternoon tea is served from 1-6pm with the most magnificent array of colourful and creative cakes, all with decadent, fun and moorish flavours. We got there a bit later this time so get there early if you want to guarantee a choice of all the cakes - they sell fast!

Products of the week!

Hi guys!

Hope you're all ok and looking forward to the weekend. Here are a few products I have been loving at the moment!

First up is this gorgeous soy milk and honey whipped body butter from Kiehl's. I am absolutely loving everything about this product, it smells good enough to eat and the smell lasts on the skin all day, it is incredibly moisturising and keeps my skin properly hydrated and smooth, and I love the texture of it - the whipped formula makes it blend into the skin so easily with no excess moisture or wet feel. If you are passing a Kiehl's counter go and give it a smell, the word I would use to describe this product is dreamy.

Next is the 'Girl Meets Pearl' liquid pearl for face from Benefit. This is a pinky, pearly firm liquid that you apply for a luminous complexion. You can wear it on its own just to give the skin an extra glow or pat it on over make up for a pretty and dewy finish. You twist up the base of the product and the liquid comes out of the top, and I have been mixing mine with foundation and then applying it to get an extra healthy and glowing make-up base. I love the thick forumla as it means that the skin doesn't feel at all greasy and instead it dries with quite a matte finish which makes it perfect to use as a base.

I have spoke about the Maybelline Color Tattoo's before but recently I have been loving this golden shade 'Eternal Gold'. It is the perfect festive colour and is fast and simple to apply and to create a pretty make-up look. They are so well pigmented that I simply pop some on my finger and then apply it all over my lid for a quick but effective look that is long wearing. This colour in particular looks lovely teamed with a red lip which is great for a Christmassy party look!

Next is this Creamy Matte Lip Colour in the shade 'Valencia Orange' from Bobbi Brown. Bobbi Brown have hit the nail on the head with creating a lipstick that is both beautifully matte yet with lots of shine and hydration. The finish of these lipsticks is so lovely as they are so well pigmented but still retain a slight glossy finish while the matte element to the lipstick ensures that it is incredibly long-wearing. I really think this range is fantastic and I am loving this colour four Autumn - it is a lovely orangey-red but it is not too overpowering so you can wear it everyday. Have any of you guys checked out this new range?

Last of all is another lip product. I'm sure you guys have heard heaps about the Revlon Lip Butters lately but I just though this was a good product to include as I think it is one of the most wearable and flattering lip colours for so many people. I love the glossy consistency of these lipsticks as they are so comfortable and nourishing to wear, and I love the subtle of sheen of colour they give once applied. This shade 'Tutti Frutti' is a great all rounder and is great for carrying round in your handbag just to throw on when your lips feel thirsty or you need a pop of colour that will work with any look. With its mango, shea and coconut forumla it instantly boosts hydration and moisture and makes lips feel smoother and softer. I love them!

Chanel Pop Up Event!

Hi everyone!

So last night I went along to the relaunch of the Chanel pop up store in Covent Garden, last time the doors were open it was mainly make-up focused, this time it was all about fragrance! I'm sure many of you will agree that the Chanel fragrances are absolutely beautiful so I was excited to go along and find out some more about the fragrances. I thought I would do a post on the store as it is so lovely inside and if any of you are passing through Covent Garden you should definitely check it out - it's perfect for some festive shopping!

At the event, we were treated to lovely glasses of champagne and amazing macaroons. As well as these treats, we were given a talk by Joanna Norman, guest fragrance professor for Chanel and offered Chanel manicures by the amazing nail expert Sophy Robson although unfortunately I didn't have time to get one! We went around smelling the fragrances and trying out the make-up, we learnt about the signature Chanel scents but were also given more insight in to the amazing exclusifs fragrance range. There are some absolutely beautiful scents in this special range and it is only available in a few places including the pop up store so if you want to give these a smell pop by, they are absolutely gorgeous.

Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation

Hey everyone!

You may have noticed recently from my videos that I have incorporated more Laura Mercier products in to my beauty regime. I used to work for Laura Mercier years ago and loved their products as they were always so good to my skin, so, after having a few breakouts recently, I invested in some skin care but also in a foundation to get my skin back to health and they worked wonders almost straight away. One of the products was the Silk Creme foundation which I also talked about in my 'how to look gorgeous for a night out' video (and a few more since!) which you can see below in case you haven't! When I worked there, I never really paid this foundation much attention but after tweeting that I was in the market for a new foundation that gave a high coverage, flawless and glowing finish lots of you recommended this foundation including the lovely Kate from gh0stparties who pointed me in this foundations direction!

I went straight out and bought it and honestly I think I have worn the foundation everyday since! To say it is absolutely amazing doesn't cover it - it has everything I could want out of a foundation! The foundation itself is so highly pigmented that you only need a small amount for the perfect finish - I find that using a pea sized amount with a buffing brush is ample for a full coverage look - this is also part of the reason it is quite expensive (£33) because you get so many applications out of the tube. It has the softest formula and practically melts on to the skin giving it the most amazing silky and luminous finish but it still sets on the skin perfectly and lasts all day long without the need to reapply or powder.

It is such a good all rounder, it is the perfect colour for me (I use the shade Cashew Beige), it gives just the right amount of coverage by hiding any blemishes and redness, it softly highlights the skin to keep it looking healthy and radiant, it keeps my skin hydrated, and most of all it still has a natural finish and doesn't look at all obvious on the skin!

If any of you guys are looking for a new foundation and are willing to spend the extra pennies for an amazing product then I really recommend checking this one out. If any of you have already tried it, I would love to know what you think in the comments!

New festive palettes from Clarins!

Hi everyone!

I wanted to share these two gorgeous new palettes from Clarins which have just arrived on counters. I think they are both absolutely beautiful and would make for the most lovely gifts or just for a festive splurge!

Both products are named Odyssey as part of the collection and first of the palettes is this gorgeous face palette that has a beautiful mosaic design on the case which is made all the more elegant by the golden packaging itself. The mosaic design is repeated inside the product with the pattern being embossed into the powder with a golden finish. It took me a while to even want to use because the pattern is so beautiful! Combined together, the powder makes for the most beautiful peachy golden highlight which instantly lifts and warms the face. It is a great one for wearing in the winter months as it adds both a bit colour and sparkle and health to the skin which I just love!

Next is this absolutely beautiful eyeshadow palette that gives the opportunity for making a variety of pretty and feminine make-up looks. I love the four colours chosen for this palette and all make brilliant eyeshadows on their own as well as together. They are all so well pigmented and have the softest formulas so they are a dream to work with. In particular, the bright golden colour has such a soft texture that it feels like it could be a cream shadow, and this makes it so super pigmented and sparkly once on the lid and I just love it. The perfect party shadow!

There are so many different ways to wear these shadows. They look great altogether or the shimmery gold colour looks lovely all over the lid with black liner. Another look I love to create with these shadows is to wear the champagne colour all over the lid, then contour the eyes with the light brown colour and then to define the eyes and smoke them up by applying the dark brown colours in to the corners of the eyes and under the eyes as well. It is a great eyeshadow quad investment as I think you get so much out of it!

Hi everyone!

So I may be a little late jumping on the band wagon with this product but I am a new convert! I only started using it last week but I have to say that Benefit's 'They're Real' mascara is absolutely brilliant. I found out that it is the best selling mascara in the world and the best selling beauty product here in the U.K - very impressive and it's easy to see why!

The mascara instantly lengthens, lifts and dramatizes my lashes and it is totally mess free to use. Even after a couple of strokes my lashes are totally transformed. Here are my lashes before using it....

I love the finish and how it fans out my lashes without making them appear at all clumpy. I love the packaging of this mascara too, it is unique and fun like so many other Benefit products. The only negative that I would have to say about this product is that it is a bit of a pain to remove. Ideally, I would use an oil cleanser to remove this with no problems but by using other cleansers you have to work that bit harder to remove it, however this is only a tiny setback from what is an amazing product!

Bath time

I'm sure some of you guys will know how much I love a good bath, I think having a bath is so relaxing and makes for perfect thinking and unwinding time. I'm always on the hunt for new bath time products as I love mixing up my bath routine with lots of lovely things. Here are some products that I have been using recently.

I have been loving this soothing bath oil from Espa. Bath oils are great for having a really indulgent bath and for making the skin feel super smooth. I like this one in particular as it has a gorgeous smell and it has de-stressing properties for body and mind, boasting soothing ingredients like sandalwood and frankincense to help unwind whilst the sweet almond oil softens the skin - just what I need!

Next is this geranium leaf body cleanser from my new found love, Aesop. I love this because it smells amazing and is so fresh feeling. My body feels totally nourished and clean (it foams up) after using it and of course the bottle is just gorgeous.

I'm a fan of a good face mask and this black rose cream mask from Sisley is at the height of luxury when it comes to face masks. It is very expensive but I honestly think this is one of the best face masks I have used - my skin feels incredibly soft and it appears more radiant and healthy after using it. I normally just pop it on before having a bath and then wipe off any excess afterwards. Love, love, love it!

I've just started trying out Percy & Reed products and I love this foaming treatment hair mask. You pop it on to wet hair after shampooing and the product comes out as a lightweight mousse which I love, you then work this in to your hair and leave it for a good five minutes then rinse. The results are a deeply conditioned and healthy hair and the product also adds volume to the hair - what more could you want!

I thought I could sneak this one in because although you don't actually use it in the bath it is part of a bath time routine! I find it so important to all over body moisturise, particular in the winter when my skin is drier. I adore this sugar lychee body moisturiser from Fresh because it keeps my skin completely nourished and smooth until my next bath time but also because it has the most gorgeous smell - good enough to eat! I love Fresh products and I know they are quite a big deal in the U.S but you don't see it so much over here which is a shame because I love their products!

Last, but of course not least, is this amazing Feu De Bois candle from the amazing Diptyque. No bath time can be fully complete without a gorgeous candle burning and this one is a perfect winter warmer. I love the richness and deepness of the scent, it is a heady mix of burning embers and Lapsang Tea - total luxury!

Hey guys!

Here are the products I have been loving this week, they are all brilliant and I would totally recommend all of them as staple products! Hope you enjoy!

First up is this fantastic creamy concealer kit from Bobbi Brown in the colour Natural Tan. I think concealer duo's are a great idea anyway but I'm sure some of you guys will know how much I love Bobbi Brown concealers in particular. This is the perfect under eye concealer and is great for all year round because you can mix the colours to find the perfect shade. I love how long wearing the concealer is and it totally transforms the appearance of my skin. Definitely a make-up bag essential!

NARS Albatross is one of my favourite powder highlighters and after not using it for a while, I have put it back in to my make-up bag! I just love how golden and dewy the finish is without being too over powering or unnatural. In the pan, it looks really bright and white but when on the skin it turns in to the most beautiful golden colour that is undeniably gorgeous. I have had mine for a while as well and they last such a long time so this is definitely a good NARS investment!

Next is this lovely lip tint and balm from Rimmel 1000 kisses range in the colour Kiss Me. They are the most handy things to have as they provide both colour and moisture in one product. On one side is a pen-like tint which gives the most lovely colour that lasts all day and on the other end is a balm which you put over the top to keep lips nourished, but also to add a bit of extra shine. I love the colour range and the pen style applicator is great as you literally just colour in your lips!

This is a beautiful blusher from Sisley cosmetics Phyto-Blush Eclat range called Pinky Berry. I haven't used much Sisley before but it's one of those brands where you instantly like everything! I love this blush, everything from the fun packaging to the product itself, it's a great everyday rosy colour that comes all wrapped up in beautiful, sophisticated packaging that is ultra modern and luxurious. The blush itself has the softest formula and instantly awakens the skin.

Last of all, I have been absolutely loving this cream shadow by Benefit in the colour Busy Signal. I think this is such a beautiful colour and it is such a simple product to just throw on to instantly liven up eye make-up or to use as the perfect base for a smokey eye. I have been wearing it all over the lid with lots of mascara so it is a make-up look that takes seconds and it doubles up as a liner as well so it has multiple uses. The consistency is so silky and soft and it is so well pigmented, what I also think is amazing about this product is how well it lasts on the skin and it doesn't crease for such a long time. Totally recommend this range of cream shadows!

My favourite celebrity beauty inspirations!

Hey guys!

So as a lot of you guys will know, there are lots of celebrities who I particularly love and take inspiration from. I have either talked about them in videos or on Twitter but never really in a blog post so I thought I would give you a rundown of who my top inspirations are and why!

First up is the natural beauty that is Emma Watson. I have loved her for years as I guess people my age have pretty much grown up with her and Harry Potter. I think she is so effortlessly beautiful and I love her simple and classic style but also admire her for being daring - for example when she cut her hair it was a shock but it worked so well on her.

Next is another person who I have loved for years - Sienna Miller! I remember when she first emerged on the scene with her high profile relationship with Jude Law and her role in the film Alfie. I was so inspired by her boho-chic look at the time and I still admire her for this now. She always looks so radiant and her wardrobe is absolutely enviable. I think her style is timeless too - I look back on outfits she wore years ago and still would want to wear them now.

Kim Kardashian is on my list because her make-up is constantly perfect and glamorous. Perhaps I should say that it is her make-up artist Mario that truly inspires me because I think he works wonders with her and is so talented at getting her looking her best every single day. She of course wears heaps of make-up which is why I love her soft and smokey looks for nights out mainly but I think she has such amazing features naturally anyway but her make-up just sets them all off. I would love to do her make-up!

Olivia Palermo is another huge fashion inspiration. All of her outfits I adore and I would liken my style choices to hers. Her hair is also absolutely gorgeous and always looks immaculate. I walked past her at the Mulberry fashion show this year and she looked so great.

I don't know anyone who doesn't think Rosie Huntingdon-Whitely is beautiful. She has the most gorgeous features ever and her body and hair is amazing too. She just has a really feminine look going on and her make-up is always quite natural, soft and pretty but striking. This is exactly why I love all the Victoria's Secret angels for their all round healthy and beautiful appearances. In particular I like the following girls for these reasons - Miranda Kerr, Candice Swanpoel and Lily Aldridge.

Last but not least is the girls I love to watch on television. I love Pretty Little Liars and have done tutorials on the girls from the show. I love Aria's (played by Lucy Hale) striking and cute beauty and Hanna's (played by Ashley Benson) girl next door look.

I also love Nina Dobrev as Elena in the Vampire Diaries! I think she has a really natural and sweet beauty.

Hey guys!

Hope you've had a good week. These are some products that I have been loving recently!

First up is this new GinZing mascara from Origins which is designed to brighten and lengthen the lashes! This is not the most dramatic mascara but I love it because it is clump-free and mess-free and naturally coats the lashes and separates them perfectly. It definitely makes your lashes appear longer so it gives them that lovely fluttery and feminine finish.

These lipsticks from Dior are simply beautiful, everything about them I love. These two 'Diorific' lipsticks are part of the Christmas collection and I think they are just the most gorgeous colours. On the left is Marilyn, a classic red colour and on the right is Lady, a more deep pink colour. The texture is just divine, with a slight matte finish yet keeping the lips feeling moisturised and comfortable, the staying power is amazing as well and I think the packaging is gorgeous and very quintessentially Dior. Like with all Dior products, they are slightly pricey but a very glamorous investment! These are available in Selfridges from today and Nationwide from the 2nd of November!

I've only recently started using Aesop products but I am already a total convert. I love the unique packaging and how simple but stylish it is. This Breathless body oil has been a particular highlight for me as it smells amazing and fresh and is completely nourishing, leaving my skin feeling so soft. It's the perfect luxury body product to have and is a great pick me up in this miserable weather!

I have been loving this new fragrance from Balenciaga. It is their new 'Florabotanica' scent and as you can probably tell it is very floral! It smells like a flower garden but is not too powerful and still has some freshness to it. It is a great one just to pop on in the day and it lasts so well on the skin. I love the bottle so much with the graphic black and white stripes which is very Balenciaga and then the blocks of colour at the sides - very unique!

Last, but definitely not least is the amazing NARS Sheer Glow. As some of you guys will know, this is one of my favourite foundations that I have raved about for years but after using different foundations for a while I have recently come back to it and it has reminded me just how brilliant it is! It is the perfect amount of coverage for me - not too much but successfully covers any blemishes and evens out the skin tone. The consistency is quite thin as well and I find that gives the most gorgeous finish. I love how it makes the skin appear totally radiant and glowing - definitely one of my all time favourites!

Hair products I am loving right now!

Hey guys,

So I'm not normally the biggest hair product junkie but just recently I have been using lots of different products in the quest to find healthy, shiny, soft but voluminous hair! I thought I would share with you guys some of the products I have used and loved recently.

First up is the 'plump it up' dry backcomb spray from VO5. This is such a brilliant product, you simply spray is in to your roots, give your head a rub with your fingers and then you have instant volume that lasts in seconds! It's so reasonably priced for the quality of the product and it also acts as a hair refresher as well but without the unpleasant smell that some dry shampoo's have. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to get full bodied hair but on a budget, it's a star buy!

This is a little bottle of wonder from Charles Worthington! I love shine sprays and this one is fantastic. You simply spray it on to your hair and your hair immediately looks more glossy and shiny. I wouldn't say this is the most long wearing shine spray but I like it because it doesn't make your hair feel at all greasy or weighed down.

This is a brand new hair oil from the fantastic Ojon hair range. In this one little bottle the oil helps to do lots of things - boost moisture, nourishes hair, tames frizz, protects heat and give a shiny healthy finish. I love the smell and quality of Ojon products and this is a welcomed addition to their great range. You apply the products in to damp hair before styling and you literally only need one drop which is great because it means the oil will last you a long time! I was so happy with the results, my hair appeared more glossy, smooth and shiny after using it. The oil is not out yet so keep your eyes peeled for it soon!

These last three products are seriously wonderful. All three come from the divine L'Oreal Mythic Oil range. I have used the nourishing mask for a while now and it is brilliant for keeping the hair hydrated, healthy and soft. After going to one of the Rush London salons last week I was also introduced to the shampoo and conditioner from the range and I am a total convert. I have to say that I think these are some of the best smelling hair products you can get and I love the feel of my hair after using them! Daniel Galvin blow dry!

This morning I went for a blow dry at Daniel Galvin. I had been wanting to go to one of the salons for a blow dry for ages and today seemed like the perfect day since I had lots of plans today! I opted to go to the salon in the Corinthia hotel which is the most amazing hotel! I took my best friend Kate along with me to be the camera lady so I could blog about it for you guys! Also all the X Factor contestants are staying at the Corinthia so we saw lots of them around the hotel, but we didn't get to see our favourite James Arthur.

Here are some pics of the hotel - the main lobby area, the outside area and then the most amazing lights I've ever seen!

Here is a pic of my hair before the blow dry, I thought it would be good to show you the difference!

The salon itself was super sleek and sophisticated, I loved how simple it was. The lovely Ricky did my hair for me.

And here's the finished look guys! I love it... Wish I could have a Daniel Galvin blow dry every day! I will definitely be coming back here as it was such a nice experience.

It's now 4pm and the blow dry is still looking great and holding well and it's still really bouncy and voluminous. Definitely worth having one if you have something important or exciting to go to. Have any of you guys been to Daniel Galvin?

Product picks of the week!

Hey guys, hope you are enjoying my revamped blog! A products of the week post is long over due so here are five products I have been loving recently!

First up is a new foundation from Bobbi Brown - their Long Wear Even Finish foundation with SPF. Now, this is not the most perfect foundation for me but it is an amazing one for an oily skin. Because I don't have oily skin, I have been trying it on friends who do have more oily skin and the results are gorgeous. Skin appears more matte but it still maintains a radiant finish and for a foundation suitable for oily skin, it doesn't look at all heavy or unnatural. Also I often find people asking me what the best foundation is for oily skin and this one is a winner! Definitely worth checking out...

Next is this MAC Lipglass in the colour Viva Glam Nicki designed by the fabulous Nicki Minaj. I love the bright bubblegum pink colour, it is the perfect pick me up! I keep this in my handbag on stand by all the time for whenever I feel like I need to brighten my make-up! I love the smell of Mac Lipglass too and they are super comfortable to wear.

This is a great drug store kohl liner from Rimmel's Scandal Eyes range. The colour, called Nude, is a great natural colour for running across the waterline to brighten and widen the eyes with a natural effect. This is a great alternative to a white kohl which people often use, because I think that can look quite harsh, this is much more subtle. Rimmel kohl's are such good value for the quality you get, I am loving this drug store brand at the moment - everything from the campaigns to the product quality is great!

This month is breast cancer awareness month and Clinique have brought out an exclusive Chubby Stick in the colour 'Plumped Up Pink' for the month to help raise awareness and with a percentage of the profit going to the charity. I have been using the Chubby Sticks for a while already and they are one of Clinque's best selling products. They are great for conditioning the lips whilst also adding sheer colour and this bright pink is perfect for just that!

I've saved the best until last! I absolutely LOVE this new highlighter from Dior. You may have seen my rave about it in my recently Pretty Little Liar's video which I will post below. It is amazingly versatile and is perfect for a beautiful glow and shimmer whether it is on the cheekbones, on the brow bone, or in the tear duct. I just think it looks absolutely gorgeous and I am so pleased Dior have brought out another amazing highlighter after my beloved Dior Amber Diamond! Dior loveliness!

Hey everyone!

I just wanted to share with you this absolutely gorgeous set from Dior. It makes me make-up happy everytime I open it as I love the beautiful colours and the packaging. Inside is two nail varnishes and four lipsticks. Here's a closer look...

Here are the two varnishes. On the left is a lovely light peachy colour called 115 Charnelle which is perfect for a simple, pretty nail look and on the right is a darker cafe au lait colour called 413 Greige, I love this colour as I think it looks so sophisticated and is perfectly in line with all the Autumn trends. The packaging is simple and elegant too and the varnishes themselves are easy to apply but do take a two or three coats for the perfect finish. I find with Dior varnishes too that they take a while to dry completely so be careful of that!

My favourite part! These new Dior Nude lipsticks. I love how feminine and beautiful the colours are and the finish is beautifully glossy and smooth. The forumla keeps the lips feeling really moisturised and they have a lovely luminous finish. I think these lipsticks are perfect for any of you looking for a new high end lipstick as they are a super sophisticated asset to any make-up bag and are perfect colours to instantly lift your make-up look!

Mulberry S/S 2013 show!

On Tuesday, I went to Claridge's for one of my favourite fashion events, the Mulberry show. As soon as I arrived there was a prominent theme - colour! The colour palette was beautiful pastels and sorbets right from the clothes to the rainbow cake they gave us upon arrival. Creative director Emma Hill said that the show was a 'blend of Mulberry's English country heritage with a sorbet summer palette.' The colourful collection featured beautiful reinterpreted classic tailoring and Seventies-inspired detailing. I loved the setting as well, the runway was decorated with colour flowers, gnomes everywhere, Mulberry trees lining the catwalk and there were geckos in the branches - which were seen printed on the seasonal clothing too and there was grass on the floor as you walked in!

As usual there was an array of beautiful and stylish faces on the front row. These girls are my particular favourites...

And of course another front row regular - Olivia Palermo! She was holding the Mini Flower Alexa bag

Jessica Ennis was there too, there was a strong Olympian presence across many of the shows. She was carrying the Bayswater in Sycamore

Here are some of my favourite looks, as you can see there was such a gorgeous pastel colour palette, but then also sophisticated black featured as well. I love how Mulberry bring dogs out on the runway too. I just thought the whole Mulberry image was so summery, wholesome, pretty and truly British as well.

The hair and make-up was so so so gorgeous. As seen with a lot of shows, the skin was natural looking and flawless with a small amount of peachy blush and contour and a pretty pink colour on the lips. Highlighting was important too and the skin looked sun kissed and dewy. However the eyes were defined by a thick flick of black liner which I thought was a really feminine touch, the flick was soft and not ending on a sharp point which added to the whole theme of a soft and delicate collection. I love the idea of the Mulberry girl not being perfect and this was seen in the beautiful hair styles which had a messy edge. The hair was a loose beachy braided chignon that had an undone feel and the girls wore their hair on a low side parting, I just absolutely loved and will be recreating it!

Burberry S/S 2013 show!

I was lucky enough to go to the Burberry show on Monday as well as Mulberry. The show always takes place in a huge space in Kensington Gardens in west London. I went backstage too to see all the latest hair and make-up trends! Makeup artist Wendy Rowe went for quite a different Burberry look this year by making the make-up all about a red lip. They used a new lipstick called Siren Red launching later this year and heavily applied it to the middle of the lips with less at the outer corner. The lip was inspired by the strong, feminine attitude of this years Burberry girl. The skin was radiant and defined by contoured cheekbones and the eyes were left bare apart from a small amount of brown shadow swept through the socket. Most of the girls' brows were amazing and full but the were filled in slightly to accentuate them!

The show itself was totally star studded, I saw so many people! Harry Styles, Andy Murray, Anna Wintour, Dita Von Teese just to name a few! The collection was really bright and vibrant with lots of texture and diversity and as usual at Burberry, the soundtrack was amazing. Colour From Daniel Sandler!

Welcome back everyone!

I have been using some bits and bobs from the lovely Daniel Sandler's make-up collection recently and I love some of the colourful products he has in his range - they have made me feel really inspired! I thought I would share them with you so you can feel inspired by them too!

First up are these lovely colourful cream blushers perfect for getting skin looking radiant and healthy. on the left is 'Riviera', a warm brown colour which gives the skin a naturally bronzed appearance. In the middle is the super vibrant appropriately named 'Hot Pink' which looks gorgeous on the apples of the cheeks and is a great for those days you don't want to wear much make-up! On the right is the beautiful coral colour called 'Soft Peach' which is a great everyday cream blush and gives a lovely warmth to the skin. I love the texture of these creams as they blend really beautifully and easily into the skin.

Next is this gorgeous body shimmer which you can use all over your body for a bronzed shimmery appearance. It's called the 'Billion Dollar Body Shimmer' and it's a great product to use when you are already tanned just to give it that extra boost and enhancement. It's not too over powering glitter wise and the pay off is strong so you don't need to use too much to get gorgeous glowing skin!

I love this super gloss in the colour 'Super Bare'. It is a perfect everyday colour similar to MAC's 'Shy Girl', I think warm peachy browns look lovely on the lips and it can go with all different make-up looks. The consistency of this gloss is great too as it's not too sticky and feels comfortable to wear.

Next is a gorgeous staple red lipstick in the colour 'Red Carpet'. This shade of red is right up my street as it is the perfect balace between sophistication and vibrancy. The consistency is relatively matte but it still looks healthy and hydrating on the lips. I must say that the longevity of the product is good too as it stays on the lips for a good while so you don't need to reapply that often!

Next are these bright and colourful long lasting waterproof eyeliners in the colours 'Green Velvet' and 'Blue Velvet'. I love the colour of both of these as they instantly add colour to any make-up look. Their staying power is also good although I cannot say how waterproof they are as I haven't been near water wearing it yet but hopefully they will live up to that! The formula is really soft so they glide on easily and the colour pay off is great too as you can see. I just think they are such pretty colours just to wear on their own!

I've saved the best until last because these two shadows are my absolute favourite! I just think the colours are simply beautiful and together they make for the most gorgeous warm shimmery smokey eye. They are both sheer satin shadows and the colour on the left is called 'Lava' and the right one didn't appear to have a name... just the numbers 5A32A! The texture of them is just divine and they feel so soft, the colour pay off is amazing too. I would seriously recommend these shadows!

Products of the week!

Hey everyone!

Hope you're all having a good week so far! Here are the five products I have really liked recently.

Earlier this week you might have seen me Instagram a picture of this gorgeous Korres lip balm. I have been loving it so much recently as it is super hydrating, smells gorgeous and gives a lovely subtle gloss of colour. This particular type is mango but I love the pomegranate too, my lips felt conditioned and soft after using it only a few times and my lips don't crave it like other balms make your lips do, instead it maintains them and keeps them nourrished. A great one to have in your handbag!

Next is this fantastic brow pencil and gel duo from Calvin Klein. I have only recently started trying Calvin Klein products and this one is so far my favourite. I love brow duo's anyway and this is great because it has a waxy brown crayon on one end for pencilling in and then a brow gel on the other end to hold the brow shape in place. I have to say that after using this my brow pencil lasts all day. I like the packaging too... rather unique!

This new eyeshadow from MAC is AMAZING. It is essentially exactly the same thing as the Reflex Pear pigment but just in a pressed forumla and it is super glittery and shiny! AKA my kind of product! The colour is called Light Touch and I honestly love it so so much. It is the prettiest eye-catching shadow to wear all over the lid, or just in the tear duct, it can even be used as a highlighter. Here is the swatch below - although I don't think it will do it justice!!

Next are the Rimmel Wake Me Up 'Instant Radiant Shimmer Touch'. These are wonderful creamy and soft textured highlighters that blend into the most gorgeous golden and rose colours. Perfect for both highlighting and for a radiant blush too. They come out as a cream and blend into the most velvety feeling finish. I have to say Rimmel is really impressing me at the moment! I have swatched them below but haven't blended them fully so you can see the colour properly and get an idea of the consistency and finish.

Lastly are these uber glittery polishes from Rimmel. As you guys know I wear Shellac on my nails but I have tried these out on my friends and they are super glittery and reflective. I also think Rimmel polishes are incredibly easy to work with and apply. However they do chip faster than other polishes available but that's not really much of a set back in my opinion! This kind of product is one that makes me feel happy just by looking at it!

Kate Matte Lipstick Collection

Hey!

So the new Kate Moss for Rimmel lipstick collection is soon to arrive in stores on October 3rd. Here's a sneak peek at the lovely five matte lipsticks that form the Autumn Winter collection!

Colour numbers from left to right: 110, 107, 113, 111, 101

I love the variety of colours here and I love how despite this being her third collection, they really resemble Kate Moss' signature style with their elegant, sexy, sophisticated and rock chick tones. I love the vibrant orange-red of colour 110 and then the deep plum colour of 107 is probably my favourite, I just think it's just the perfect sophisticated colour to warm up and define any look making it instantly glamourous. The middle colour is a perfect nude, a good dupe for Creme de Nude by MAC, I always think having a more peachy toned, rather than cooler toned, nude colour is a great staple and goes particularly well with a dark smokey eye which Kate often sports! Shade 111 is a signature ruby red, I like its deep tone making it more dramatic and chic, again another colour I would associate with Kate Moss. Finally, colour 101 has to be my least favourite as it is a colour that I just wouldn't wear on a day to day basis, however, I know some of you guys would go for a bubblegum pink colour it's just a shade that I don't think suits me. All in all though, I love the collection!

Asides from the shade variety, I also think the quality is amazing. In particular, for matte lipsticks they feel incredibly comfortable and hydrating despite giving off an obvious matte finish. In terms of longevity, their staying power is really great! I went out for dinner last week wearing the plum 107 colour and ate spaghetti and it was still there at the end of the meal! For the price paid the quality is undoubtable!

Hi guys!

Here are my favourite five beauty products of the week!

First up are these two conditioners. You may already know that I have loved the 'smooth lock' conditioner (it used to be called 'smooth down') for a long time, but I have recently been using the 'extreme' conditioner as well. They just leave my hair feeling so soft and healthy and don't make my hair greasy quickly like other conditioners can. I find only a little product is ample for ultimate conditioning and shine! The smooth down conditioner is great for specifically dry hair which mine can be after using lots of heat on it and the extreme conditioner is for distressed hair. Both work amazingly for me, they are really worth checking out if any one is looking for a high end conditioner.

I love this peachy pink blush called Sophie which is new from Illamasqua. It's the perfect shade for adding warmth and colour to the face and is it also has a slight amount of shimmer in it which gives the cheeks a subtle glow. I think Illmasqua's blushers in general are fantastic right from the packaging to the quality and colour range so this is a much loved addition to the range!

You may have already seen me talk about my love for Maybelline Colour Tattoo in the shade Eternal Gold in my August favourites video but I thought I would give it a shout out here too so I could show you a swatch! It's definitely called Color Tattoo for a reason because it has incredible staying power! For a gel cream formula it doesn't crease at all which is amazing. This is a perfect product for a quick and easy make-up look that you can rely on to last. I have simply been wearing it all over the lid with lots of mascara for a pretty, shimmery finish and it just looks gorgeous on its own!

This lipstick by By Terry in colour 400 is simply divine! The packaging is gorgeous with 'Terrybly' embossed beautifully on to the lipstick and the colour is just one of those shades that makes me instantly happy when I open it! it has the most lovely smooth texture which means it is completely comfortable on the lips and the longevity of the lipstick is fantastic too - for a glossy finish it doesn't budge! This has got to be favourite high end lipsticks that is at the height of sophistication! With Summer gradually leaving England this lipstick keeps me in a Summer mood!

Last up is a new palette from Urban Decay called 'Smoked'. I absoutely love the colour variety in here as it has plenty of beautiful shimmery shades but also useful matte neutrals and an ever-handy matte black and brown! The packaging is great too with a handy zip design which makes it travel well. My only fault with this is that UD shadows have a reputation to shed a lot so you have to be careful when applying them so it doesn't get down your face! However, the colours are wonderfully pigmented and blend beautifully and the diversity and range of different looks you can make with this palette is endless! It also comes with a fantastic 24/7 kohl liner in black which I think is one of the best liners out there as the colour pay off is great and the formula is soft so that it is easy to apply and glides on perfectly!

My Favourite cleansers!

Hi everyone!

So as some of you will know I have a particular skin care routine and a cleanser for me is the most important step in my routine both morning and night so I thought I would share with you my favourite cleansers!

The Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish has been a firm favourite of mine for years now and I still love it as much now as I did when I first starting using it quite simply because it is amazing!! The creamy cleanser comes with a muslin cloth and you simply apply the cleanser to dry skin, massaging it in all over the face and then run the muslin under warm water and use it to cleanse the face. It literally takes off every last bit of make-up and leaves the skin feeling moisturised, energised and squeaky clean. My skin is always more radiant, clear and healthy after using this. It has won 75 (!) beauty awards too so I dare anyone not to love it!

The Eve Lom cleanser is a fairly new addition to my cleanser love as I have only been using it for the last few months but it is incredible and at the height of luxurious cleansing! This one also works with a muslin cloth and can be used for moisturising, cleansing, removing make-up and gentle exfoliation. It may be expensive (£55 for 100ml) but it does last a long time and has amazing results. My skin is noticeably smoother and glowing and feels completely conditioned after using it. I love the formula as well, it is like a balm in texture and once worked into the skin transforms into an oily rich moisturising feel. It ticks every box for what you would wish for from a cleanser.

The Philosophy Purity cleanser is my favourite oil cleanser as for an oil cleanser it has an incredibly lightweight and clean feel to it. The consistency is thin which makes it feels so gentle and only a small amount works perfectly for me, removing make up and leaving my skin feeling renewed. It is not the most moisturising of cleansers but for every day simplicity it is great!

Last up is Nelson's Pure and Clear facial wash. This is a super affordable and simple cleanser that leaves the skin feeling super clean and revived. This is more of a gel than a cream or oil so it once on the face I think the gel formula makes the skin feel completely refreshed and awakened, also aided by the distinct smell of tea tree! It helps to diminish blemishes too with it's naturally-active plant extracts which also help to calm and nourish the skin!

So they are my favourite cleansers guys, which do you like? Would love to know!

Hey everyone!

Ok so it's that time of week again for my beauty round up! Here are the products I have been loving this week...

This stuff is literally amazing! This is a simple to use and incredibly moisturising self tanner for the face by Clarins. It's great for maintaing a tan or just to get a healthy glow. I put it on before bed and in the morning I have naturally bronzed looking and soft skin. You don't have to be meticulous at all when applying this and I have never had streaks or an uneven appearance. Love love love it!

Next is the beautiful new fragrance from Jo Malone called Blackberry & Bay. As some of you guys will know I'm an avid Jo Malone fan and this fragrance is the perfect new addition to their wonderful fragrance line! It's a gorgeous and warm scent but is not too over powering or heady, a perfect one for both day and night. It's a rich scent but has a floral and fresh edge which I just love. Jo Malone has said the scent is inspired by childhood memories of blackberry picking which I just think is such a cute idea. Look out for it on counters soon!

This has been a firm favourite for a very long time but recently I find myself reaching for it more and more. It is the most heavenly of body creams... richly moisturising with the most amazingly fresh and zingy ginger scent which stays lingering on the skin all day. A 200ml tub will last me ages as well as a little product spreads a long way with this. If you are ever passing an Origins counter go and give it a smell - it's addictive!

Clinque's high impact extreme volume mascara is their latest one and another attribute to their established and diverse mascara range. This a completely fuss free and fast mascara, taking only seconds to achieve a voluminous and full lash look. I wouldn't necessarily it adds 'extreme' volume (something I am automatically drawn to!) but I like the fluttery finish for an everyday mascara.

Finally for this week is Rimmel's Stay Matte powder. I have been loving so much Rimmel recently and this powder I think is absolutely brilliant for a drug store brand. It instantly takes away unwanted shine but doesn't sit on the skin like others in a similar market do. It lasts as well which is something I think is important for a powder to deliver on. Definitely worth purchasing for any of you looking to try a new powder and definitely one of my all time favourite drug store products!

My top summer glosses!

Welcome back guys!

The weather in England has been absolutely beautiful recently so I thought why not put together my favourite lip glosses that I have been wearing this summer time. I've put them in to two's because as you will see some of the glosses are quite similar in colour and finish. Enjoy!

First up are these two super sparkly glosses. I love the intense colour of the Revlon gloss ('Strawberry Fraise') and I can rely on it to keep pigmented throughout the day, it's such a bright girly pink also making it a perfect and simple part of a make up look. On the right is one of the Rimmel 'Stay Glossy' glosses in candy floss colour of 'Always Lovely' and this one is great because it is so comfortable to wear - it doesn't feel sticky but has such a high amount of gloss and shine in it that lasts!

I love corals for summer and I think these are two of the most coral colour glosses I have come across! The NARS colour on the left (Wonder) is super orange with only a small amount of shimmer. I love this for layering on top of a reddy-orange lipstick such as MAC's Lady Danger to give it extra depth of colour and gloss, it locks in the colour so it will last! On the right is Chanel's 'Glossimer', I put this one in because of the gorgeous glowing sparkle all wrapped up in the beautiful Chanel packing, it is an amazing thing to have in my hand bag! The colour is great too, however I have to say that it is quite sticky to wear and the colour is much more translucent than the colour in the tube suggests... But if you can look over that then it is a beautiful looking gloss.

These two are a couple of staples that I actually wear all year round but right now they are both firmly in my make-up bag! On the left is MAC's 'Love Nectar' and the other is Bourjois Effet 3D gloss in number 49. They are both perfect light peachy colours with a lustrous glow running through them. Perfect for applying on the go and as an every day essential to keep in your make-up bag!

These are two of my favourite pale pinks. What is special about the Clarins Instant Light Lip Perfecter is that it is a hybrid between a gloss and a balm which makes it the most nourishing and hydrating out of all the glosses here. The Barry M gloss in number 11 is one of my all time favourites which I have already raved about a lot, it is so affordable and I love how it makes my lips look, it is the perfect soft and gentle glossy lip to wear with a smokey eye!

Chanel Autumn Winter Collection 2012

Hello lovely people!

The new Chanel collection is absolutely beautiful. A gorgeous collection of pink hues, wintery mauves and purples and shimmering golds and silvers. Check it out my favourite pieces here...

These two lipsticks are absolutely gorgeous. On the left is a soft and glossy pink from the Rouge Coco Shine lipsticks called 'Parfait'. It is shot through with a golden shimmer to make it extra glossy and to give it a golden hue, great for everyday wear. On the right is a sophisticated plum colour from the Rouge Coco range called 'Caractere', this is a great one for instantly adding warmth to the face and for adding immediate elegance, the colour has a soft and hydrating finish meaning that the colour is not too over powering.

Next is the lip pencil in 'Amarante' - a beautifully rich plum-brown colour. I love deep and dark, but warm lips for winter time and this product certainly delivers that. I would wear it on its own all over the lips for a matte look which you can guarantee to stay put, alternatively you can wear it underneath a gloss or a lipstick to heighten and deepen the lip colour.

Last of the lip products is this pinky plum gloss 'Troublant'. it compliments the plum lipstick above perfectly for extra intensity, colour and gloss. It looks gorgeous on its own as well as the gloss is perfectly pigmented to make the lip colour stand out. The longevity of the gloss is great too and it feels comfortable on the lips!

Here are the lip product swatches in the order that I have mentioned...

Next is this pretty and slightly shimmery pale pink blush called 'Rose Initiale' it is a great colour for bringing a subtle warmth to the cheek and I'm sure it actually smells like roses too!

Such a pretty trio of shadows which make me feel very festive! On the left is 'Infini' a pale silver colour with so much shimmer in it - I love it! It's a great one for popping in the tear duct. In the middle is a champagne gold colour called 'Eclaire' which looks beautiful all over the lid and under the eye with lots of black liner on top and bottom. On the right is 'Furtif' which is more of a gun mental dark silver but it also packs a lot of glitter and also looks lovely all over the lid for a more cool toned finish - the colour is wonderfully pigmented.

Products I have been loving this week!

Hi everyone!

I've decided that I would like to post each week about new products that I have been instantly impressed with and products that I have been using that particular week. I think I will include 5 star products for each week and they can be my fantastic five!

Here are this weeks products...

First up is this gorgeous cream blush 'Prime Time' from Topshop. I absolutely love the cute packaging with this product and the bright, bright pink colour inside makes it extra appealing. The blush is perfect for a bright and summery pop of colour across the cheeks and you can blend in the product well to make it as bright or as subtle as you like, Topshop products are well priced as well, this blusher is £6 and will last you a long time!

Next up is another packaging love in the form of two bright and colourful shadows from Illamasqua. These shadows are great for creating creative and daring looks but for those of you looking to work with bright colours and incorporating them in to everyday looks then the gorgeous smokey blue ('Burst') makes a great eye-catching alternative colour for lining or smoking up the eyes and the neon yellowy green ('Pivot') looks beautiful in the tear duct and gives the eyes that extra sparkle!

This Maybelline mascara has taken a firm position in my make-up bag recently and has definitely become one of my go-to mascaras for long and full lashes. I have to say that 'the falsies' mascara completely transforms my lashes instantly making them much more defined and glamorous for those of you who like voluminous and lengthened lashes. It is so quick and easy to use as it has a bendy wand which makes it so simple to get to the base of every lash and to coat every lash efficiently with great results. The mascara is just £5 which is such a good price point for the effectiveness of the mascara, definitely worth checking out!

This is the first of two Burberry products this week and it absolutely rocks in every way. It is an all round luxury product from the packaging to the quality to the amazing finish it has on the skin. The product is called 'Fresh Glow' and is a luminous fluid base. The packaging is simply gorgeous and undoubtedly classically Burberry - it is such a lovely product to have on a dressing table. The product itself is a silky soft liquid that can be used on its own, under foundation, or even mixed with foundation to give that extra glow and radiance to the skin, skin instantly looks healthy and dewy after applying this product. As it's summer, I have been wearing this on its own to give my skin that extra boost and I just love it. What is also amazing about this product is that it seems to work for all skin tones, although the product itself is light in colour, it blends brilliantly and looks gorgeous from pale to dark skin! Love love love it.

Last up is Burberry's latest fragrance 'Body'. The perfume has been available for a while but it is only recently that I have started to wear it. As you guys may know, I have a few holy grail perfumes but this is one of those scents that is great to wear on the go and for everyday. I think this is a scent particularly great for summery days like we are having right now as it is so light, feminine and floral. You can trust this scent to last all day as well which is something I look for in a fragrance. This is a great addition to the already amazing range of Burberry fragrances and the gorgeous Rosie Huntingdon-Whitely is the face of the campaign too so check that out!

My favourite pieces from the Dior Autumn-Winter 2012 make-up collection!

Hey guys!

I'm really excited to tell you that I will be blogging regularly from now on. I'm feeling really inspired at the moment and I have also decided that it will be good to have a go to space for you guys to read and keep up to date with my thoughts, opinions and loves of the beauty world!

So today I wanted to write about a couple of pieces from Dior's new collection that I have been using recently. As I'm sure some of you will know, I absolutely love Dior products and their beautiful highlighter 'Amber Diamond' is a staple in my make-up collection. I just love the sleek and sophisticated packaging, the colour combinations in their palettes and the overall quality of the products.

First up is this eyeshadow and lipgloss combination palette called Golden Jungle. These two gorgeous products are wrapped up in a solid and weighty silver case which I think gives it that extra elegant edge. The gloss is a subtle, natural pink but gives enough colour to make the lips look fuller, healthy and pretty. The eyeshadow is super shimmery, I have been mixing them all together to give a light smokey green effect which is a perfect day time look but you can quite easily separate the colours for a range of beautiful effects!

My other love for this collection comes in the form of another eyeshadow palette called Ivory Glow. This one comes in a more lightweight, typically Dior style packaging however it has one feature that makes it a cut above the rest - instead of lifting the case open, you slide it back and instantly a mirror pops up behind the shadows, nifty! The shadow on the top left is a rich iridescent cream colour, which makes a perfect base to use with lots of different shadows, to the right is a shadow that doesn't give a lot of colour pay off but packs on a lot of shimmer and glitter which you can press on top of an eyeshadow or it looks lovely on its own for a super sparkly look. On the bottom is a classic satin charcoal, great for defining and lining the eye or for creating a deep smokey eye. All together, the eyeshadows give a glamorous, defined and contrasting eye!

The shadows in general have brilliant staying power and blend really beautifully with their soft and finely milled formula - for those of you looking to invest in high end beautiful shadows then Dior will definitely deliver with their beautiful, diverse and luxurious palettes!

Some products I am loving this week!

- Bath & Body Works Mango Candle - I have this burning in my office when I am editing videos and it just makes me feel uplifted and happy!

- Sisley Lipstick in L31 - This colour is SO beautiful and I have had it for a while but haven't wanted to use it as the lipstick is shaped so beautifully and I didn't want to ruin it! However, I have decided to use it this week!

- Illamasqua Nail Polish in Nomad - I am wearing this on my nails now and have had compliments on it all week!

- Illamasqua Loose Powder - I hadn't used this before this week but now I have discovered it I absolutely love it, it is just as good if not better than MAC Prep & Prime and the Laura Mercier Translucent Powder (both of which I love).

- Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation - I can't wait to use this in one of my video makeup tutorials to show you guys as it looks so pretty on the skin, it's flawless looking and lovely.

- Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel - I have wanted this cream bronzer for YEARS! I really don't know why I didn't get it sooner, but now I have it in my makeup collection I feel very happy. Sometimes it is nice to use a cream for a more natural look and nicer texture on the skin.

This is a SUPER brief post as I haven't gone into detail about any of the products or reviewed them as such...it is more just to let you know of a few things I am loving right now!

Some of my favourite things from Jo Malone...

As you all know I LOVE Jo Malone, I have been collecting her products for a long time and thought I would show you some of my collection, since I recently got some of my favourite fragrances in the bigger pretty bottles that before I only had in the smaller sizes (which don't look so impressive!)

A couple of weeks ago I went into a Jo Malone boutique in London to have a hand and arm massage with the products, be talked through the fragrances in detail and have a glass of champagne! This service is complementary so definitely go and do it if you have a spare hour in central London as it is such a wonderful treat!

When I was at Jo Malone, one of the ladies there taught me about fragrance layering...I told her about all the Jo Malone fragrances I had and she told me which ones go nicely together. I think fragrance layering is such a great idea as it means you can make your own bespoke fragrance. My favourite combination is Pomegranate Noir with English Pear & Freesia.

So here is my collection....

I have Nectarine Blossom and Honey, Pomegranate Noir, English Pear & Freesia, White Lilac & Rhubarb, Wild Bluebell, Dark Amber & Gingerlily.

Ooooh and one last Jo Malone thing I got recently, and am really loving, is the Scent Surround Diffuser in Red Roses. It is so sleek and beautiful to have in the house and can transform any room with it's sophisticated and pretty scent. I photographed mine below...

New Hair

Recently I went to get my hair cut at Gielly Green - I needed more shape put into my hair and had heard great things about this salon. I usually have Mark Woolley from Electric cut my hair but with his busy schedule it's hard for us to both find a free day to do my hair!

The salon is on George Street which is in Central London, it is very glamorous and cool inside. It's very spacious and also has beauty rooms where you can get your brows threaded, lashes tinted etc.

I don't know the name of the girl who washed my hair, but she gave me the most wonderful head massage. Also, the reclining chair that I sat in to have my hair washed was the most comfortable hair-washing-chair I have ever been in - they are usually so uncomfortable but I nearly fell asleep in this one!

I was very lucky to have one of the owners cut my hair - Shai Greenburg. When he asked me what I wanted I said I was looking to achieve hair that bounces when I walk and has a pretty feminine shape. I am so so so happy with the cut he gave me that I think I am going to call him and say "please please please don't forget how you cut my hair the other week as I want to have this same cut again and again for the rest of my life!" I only have a couple of pics on my iphone of my hair which I will post below, however in my most recent makeup video (top ten MAC lipsticks) you can see the results a bit better. Shai gave me an incredible blow dry which I could never do myself! However I have been using the Babyliss Big Hair styler to get that salon blowdry look...I may do a video tutorial on it soon.

Since my hair cut I have been adding a couple of Gielly Green products into my hair routine. I had used them in the past but ran out so was happy to have them back in my shower! I love the repair shampoo and mask, but my favourite product of all is the Argan Rescue. It is an oil serum and just one pump revives, smooths and softens my hair without feeling at all greasy.

I highly recommend having a haircut at Gielly Green if you are in London and want your hair to feel fabulous!

The Mulberry AW12 Show

Early on Sunday morning I made my way to Claridges to watch the Mulberry show. Fashion week is one of my favourite times of the year as I love watching the shows, going backstage, then reporting back to my viewers and readers about all the beauty and fashion trends for the next season. Obviously being a makeup artist I can't help but pay most of my attention to the makeup - but I am sure you guys won't mind me rambling on about makeup trends as I know you love it too!

I will begin with a little background on the ideas behind the show, Emma Hill took inspiration from a children's book "Where The Wild Things Are", so the show decor featured furry seats, chocolates decorated with monster faces and huge furry monsters standing at the entrance to the catwalk. Mulberry always has a quirky, unique theme which I love, last season it was woodland animals which was so cute! The venue was decorated spectacularly - filled with giant gold balloons in the shape of keys and locks, taken from the famous padlocks used on Mulberry's bags.

As for the clothes, bags and shoes, Mulberry experimented with mixing classic dark Autumn/Winter colours with lots of bright hues. I thought this was really refreshing after seeing so many depressingly dark looks for next season. I loved the bright orange handbags and shoes in particular - I think using your accessories to brighten up your outfit is a great idea. Also the monster theme carried through the clothes with lots of shaggy faux fur on the outerwear. There were some really interesting, unique prints on the catwalk. I particularly liked the Aztec-inspired zig zags and how they blended it with Tie Dye. Another of my favourite trends on the Mulberry catwalk was the oversized knitwear, the idea is that the Mulberry Girl is strong and can look after herself in the cold weather - she is very wrapped up in supersized scarfs and furry coats and so not afraid to brave the cold!

As for the front row, I saw Alexa Chung, Tinie Tempah, Azealia Banks, Pixie Geldof, Laura Carmichael, Michelle Williams, Elizabeth Olsen, Olivia Palermo, Anna Wintour, and of course Lana Del Rey. Now, the reason I say "of course Lana Del Rey" is because just hours before the show it was announced that Mulberry are naming a bag after her called the "Del Rey"! This is such exciting news, she must be so honoured and thrilled. Some of you may be wondering why Mulberry chose Lana...Emma Hill claims it's because she fell in love with her style after watching the video for Video Games. Mulberry loved Lana's classic hollywood but edgy and fun style. I will add a picture now of Lana at the show with her new bag in White Ostrich.

Now onto the important part! The makeup! (And the hair). Matthias Van Hoof was the leading makeup artist and designed a simply lovely look. The model's faces looked like they were glowing from within, so fresh faced and pretty. They had a lot of creamy highlighter on their cheeks and what looked like a very rosey coloured cream blush. The eyes were kept natural and simple, as were the brows. I completely fell in love with the hair style at the show designed by Sam McKnight. It consisted of lots of messy little plaits clipped up randomly onto the models heads. It just felt very sweet, natural and effortless.

I also filmed a little vlog of me chatting about the trends and a sneak peak inside Claridges!

Burberry Prorsum Womenswear Autumn/Winter 2012 Show

I was thrilled when Burberry gave me backstage access and a seat at their A/W 12 Womenswear show. I initially started going to fashion week to assist makeup artists backstage, however my job has changed slightly in that now I get to actually sit and watch the shows then report the trends back to you guys. It is not possible to go backstage at all the shows as they have very limited access, so you can imagine how pleased I was when I got a backstage pass for Burberry yesterday! Being backstage means I can see the makeup and hair looks being created, get direct quotes from the key artists and have a good nosey at what products are being used.

So let me get on and tell you about the show....

I took my seat quite early, before the mad rush which I was quite pleased about as it meant I could spy on everyone's outfits, hair and makeup as they walked in to find their seats. The Front Row was full of celebrities, I spotted Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Clemence Poesy, The Feeling with a very pregnant Sophie Ellis Bextor, face of Burberry Eddie Redmayne, Will Young, Anna Wintour, Kate Bosworth, Will I Am, Laura Bailey, Alexa Chung and sister to face of Burberry Cara Delevingne - Poppy Delevingne. I will add in pictures of some of them now to show you all their outfits!!

The looks on the catwalk were beautiful and heritage themed. I literally fell in love with so many of the outifts! The models wore tweed, leather bows, velvet, pencil skirts, exposed zips, flat caps, studded leather gloves, feminine waisted style coats and dresses and beautful umbrellas. Ooooh and talking of umbrellas - everyone in the press today is talking about Christopher Bailey's fabulous plan to fake rain pouring down the sides of the venue. It is difficult to explain but I will put the video of the full show at the bottom of this post then you can see for yourselves. The atmosphere was amazing and the finale gave me goosebumps - with the fake rain and thunder, metallic rain-like confetti falling from the ceiling and the powerful music.

I loved the music played at the show and I felt it was a huge part of why the show was so powerful. The songs played were Joan Armatrading - It could have been better, Rae Morris - Walls, Marina and the Diamonds - Numb and The Cinematic Orchestra - To Build A Home.

When I was backstage I managed to get footage of the leading Makeup Artist Wendy Rowe talking about the makeup look so I will insert my footage from the show below as soon as it has uploaded to YouTube! But to quickly tell you guys about the makeup look, it was a soft, sultry, worn-in smoky eye, the lips were a modern nude shade - not too pale and the skin had Burberry Trench foundation buffed into it mixed with the Light Glow product so it looked natural and luminous. The cheeks were sculpted a little but no blush or highlighter.

I was lucky enought to meet Cara Delevingne and we filmed a little bit for my vlog together, so make sure you watch out for that part in the video because she was lovely!

New Makeup For Spring From Burberry Beauty

Hey guys!

You remember my Cara Delevingne makeup tutorial back in January? Well, after seeing how gorgeous she looks in the visual for the spring/summer Burberry Beauty releases, I decided to show you a few pieces from the range!

Everything is packaged in the iconic pewter metallic casing and printed with Burberry’s classic check both inside and out – even the actual lipstick bullets!

The two Lip Covers shown are Tulip Pink (left) and Primrose Hill Pink (right). Tulip Pink is a perfect ‘your lips but better’ pinky nude, while Primrose Hill Pink is a rosy red shade (not as bright as the photos suggest!) that applies quite opaque. Both have a satin finish and that amazing old-fashioned ‘lipstick smell’.

The Lip Glow in Hibiscus has no shimmer and gives lips a plum-red wash of colour that’s moisturising and non-sticky.

The Light Glow blushers are such pretty colours. Blossom Blush (left) is the perfect coral pink that I cannot wait to pair with tanned skin in summer! Tangerine Blush is paler and would be perfect for fair complexions.

The two Sheer Eye Shadows pictured are in shades Pale Barley (left) and Rosewood (right). These are both shimmery, warm shades with no sparkle.

Burberry have also released a skin-enhancing primer which can be used as a moisturiser or highlighter to give radiance to the skin. Called Fresh Glow, it’s sheer with no visible pearl or sparkle. It gives a very, very subtle sheen to the skin; similar to Becca Radiance Primer.

The Spa at St Giles

Happy New Year!!!

I get asked all the time where I have beauty treatments when I tweet about having a spray tan or a massage etc. so, I thought I would tell you guys about the place I go to. This post is sort of only relevant to people living in Norwich I guess, unless you come here just for a day of shopping in the town and relaxation at the spa.

Due to working online, I am sitting at a computer A LOT! Just like I am right now and I find a massage every 6 weeks can work wonders, not just for physical reasons but also for my mind and well being. I tried out a few different spa's in Norwich (my hometown) before finding one I was happy with and I think that if you are spending good money on a treatment you want to make sure the place you go to is like a total "zen" for you. It is important to keep going to different places until you find the perfect spa for you. I am not going to name any names but I went to a few places in Norwich that I was paying the same amount as I am at St Giles but the whole experience was just not worth the money.

So anyway, my point is, I felt the need to highly recommend The Spa at St Giles to the readers of my blog (particularly ones that live in the area) as it will save you wasting you money shopping around for the most wonderful place to go. This is such a positive post from me that I just have to state that I am in no way being sponsored to write any of this! The spa probably won't even know this post exists, but I love it there and it has become a place for me that I can really switch off and treat my body. One of the reasons why this spa is my favourite is because of the people working there, not only are the amazing at what they do, but they are so friendly and welcoming.

My favourite treatments to have are the Sienna X spray tans (they have no chemicals and last a week on my skin), any type of full body massage (they are AMAZING!) and the Ila body scrub (Ila products are incredible).

If after reading this you plan on going then definitely go on a Wednesday as they have huge discounts on treatments that day - that's the day I try and book for!

I had never had regular massages or anything before 2011 and it has made a real change to my posture and peace of mind too! If you can find the time to go even once every couple of months I think it's a great thing to do for yourself. If you go on a Wednesday I think you can get a full body massage for £30.

How I Get My Hair Cut - Rosie HW Style!

I get my hair cut by the lovely celeb hairdresser Mark Wooley at his salon Electric Hair (nearest tube Bond Street) in London. I thought I would show you a couple of pictures after I came out of the salon on here and I will also post the video so you can see how he does it!

It is not the most exciting video as I ask for a very very simple style but it might help to show you that you do not need lots done to your hair for it to look incredible! Just a simple good cut. :-)

Also, I get asked all the time if I dye my hair and the answer is NO!! This is my natural hair colour and I don't plan on dying it anytime soon. It changes on it's own to blonder in the Summer and darker in the Winter and that's enough change for me!

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation

The perfect foundation for those of you who love a flawless finish without the feel of wearing heavy makeup.

I was a little late to get this foundation from Chanel, people have been raving about it for ages! However, I finally tried and tested it and wow - I am so impressed. I am going to try and round up this foundation for you and tell you the reasons why I love it...

It is so so so light - as in the texture is very watery (but in a good way!) yet it gives a decent light/medium coverage that lasts on my skin for a good 8 hours, even in my oily t zone!
The packaging is amazing for traveling with as you will see in the photograph that the bottle is very small (but still contains as much as in the pro lumiere big glass bottle). Also it is very light as it's made from plastic. Obviously the packaging is not as luxurious as the Vitalumiere or Pro Lumiere bottle but it is far more practical.
It gives my skin a natural looking glow without being as dewy as pro or vitalumiere.
Finally, it is sheer enough that it shows your own skin through and perfects your skin rather than masking it.

Note: This foundation is not for you if you are a lover of the "made up" look. Or maybe it would be a good "day off" foundation for you!

I will definitely be using it in some of my YouTube makeup tutorials soon so you can see how it looks on my skin :-)

Hey guys!

So yesterday I was doing makeup on a video shoot for TRESemmé...I have done this same makeup job before earlier in the year when they also were making video hair tutorials with Matthew Curtis. Anyway...what I was saying is that when I finished doing my model's makeup I took a quick picture on my iphone and posted it on my twitter. I was so shocked at all the responses I had saying the makeup was lovely and asking what products I used - I was shocked as it was such a natural look and not very interesting! However, I thought I would post the pic on here and let you know what products I used :-)

Vogue - Fashion's Night Out September 2011

Vogue's Fashion's Night Out is an after-hours shopping extravagranza. I went last night and it felt like a shopping street party with roads closed due to the amount of eager fashionista's. I had a great time enjoying the live music, countless complementary glasses of champagne and of course the shopping. It is a great night to network and 'mingle' and see all the new collections. Many brands launched their new collections last night so there was an exciting buzz all over London.

I only had a couple of hours as I wasn't staying in London and had to catch a train home but managed to make it to Chanel and Mulberry - two of my favourite fashion brands.

Chanel

Chanel were launching a trio of blue nail polishes inspired by denim called Les Jeans de Chanel. They were developed by Peter Philips, Creative Director of Chanel Beauty. Chanel were giving complementary manicures using these beautiful new nail colours in their boutique on Old Bond Street. There was a very long queue so I didn't have my nails done but will definitely be purchasing the nail colours soon!

I had a lovely time at Chanel, meeting some of the lovely ladies who work for Chanel and admiring the jewellery and handbags.

Mulberry

Mulberry had a real buzz about it last night. The queue's to get into the store were huge and inside they had a DJ, mojito's, a fortune teller, a face painter, manicurists from Nail Rock and lots of fashion icons. I spotted British beauty Cara Delevinge looking amazing in super skinny jeans. It was very busy and exciting! Mulberry is my all time favourite luxury British fashion brand - I LOVE the clothes, shoes and handbags. Mulberry is so quintessentially British - and being a British girl, I love that.

There was also a photographer there taking pictures of Mulberry fans in front of a giant mushroom and little woodland creatures. I think the Woodland animal theme is so cute. I of course had to have my picture taken!

I wore my Kooples trench coat and my Mulberry Taylor bag - my two favourite pieces in my wardrobe at the moment.

My plans for the weekend!

I love weekends <3

I was just writing my to do list for this weekend when I thought...hmmm, I might put this on my blog! Some of you may find it interesting...maybe :-S

Jim's (my boyfriend) sister and her fiance are going away for the weekend so have asked us to housesit - basically just to keep their dog Tilly company! So we will be hanging out there Saturday and Sunday. I will elaborate on my to do list for you. Dry cleaning needs to be dropped off in town as I have been putting it off for months (literally) and am now running out of jackets and nice dresses which all MUST be dry cleaned. It is a birthday themed weekend as two of my friends have their birthdays! Vanessa's is on Friday but she is celebrating with friends Sunday for lunch. Very much looking forward to that! Walk Tilly (pretty self explanatory). My best friend Kate is 21 on Monday! She is having a party in her garden and I am going to make some sort of food for it and also track down Raspberry puree for our Mojitos - yummy! Fake tan - has to be done. Film July favourites video as it is getting well into August now and I have lots of products I need to talk to you all about. Go for a run - been running at least 3 times a week at the moment and feeling much healthier :) Last but not least...watch films with Jim. Since we are at his sister's house we can just chill in the evenings and cuddle Tilly! (The dog).

Ooooh and I just have to show you my beautiful notepad before this post ends. Jim bought it for me from an art shop near our house for my last birthday but you can probably get pretty notepads from any stationary store.

Hey guys,

So as you all know I am a HUGE fan of Origins, in particular I love the Dr.Weil Mega-Mushroom Skin Relief so I thought I would dedicate a post to it - especially as I have just got a brand new jar! (This is about my 6th or 7th!)

I have been using the face cream for years - it was the first high end moisturiser I ever invested in - and though of course I am always trialing others, this has got to be my holy grail. I love the texture, and the non-greasy aspects to it, it sinks straight into the skin and immediately hydrates and renourishes. Another important aspect to it is that I love the smell, it is really fresh and natural yet still retains a luxurious fragrance. It works perfectly for my skin because although my skin is relatively normal, it can also be combination and the moisturiser never fails to sooth my skin and restore its moisture.

Diptyque Fragrances

Just wanted to share with you my budding fragrance collection from Diptyque...

Diptyque is a French brand known for its perfumes and scented candles, it was founded by a trio that had a collective passion for travel thus this is reflected in the exoctic scents that the Diptyque products provide. Originally it was an interior design store, with the scents being an extension to their designs, but now Diptyque is one of the most luxurious and special fragrance brands around!

Everytime I go to London, I find myself in Liberty constantly smelling the various candles and fragrances, which prompted me to start building up a collection of my own, I just find that they are the scents are addictive to me, and just cannot get tired of them. I don't have any candles but have 4 fragrances in my collection! I started off with the vanilla Eau Duelle, but now I am wearing Greek fig tree based Philosykos constantly, wearing spicy Tam Dao and fresh Vetyverio in between, although I do mix them up. I still have my signature scents, but the Diptyque range is so faultlessly beautiful and perfect just to be thrown on for instant gratification and a gorgeous scent that lasts, and that I just can't get enough of.

I'm getting really into candles at the moment too, so I am sure I will be getting some Diptyque candles soon, they are high up on my wish list!

Diptyque fragrances retail at around £48 for the 50ml E.D.T and £68 for the 100ml.

In the newsletter I told you what I had been up to during last week and how I worked as the make-up artist on a video shoot for TRESemme.

The shoot was at a really cool location in Stoke Newington. It was actually where the first couple of series of Dragons Den (a TV show in the UK) was filmed so I found it very interesting looking around the place!

I had a great day, a long day shooting is always made much more fun and easier if you have an amazing team like we did. I got along with the hairdresser Matthew Curtis really well, I also thought his assistant Harry was lovely.

So I know you are all going to ask...when can you see the finished video and what makeup did I use on the model! Well, I am unsure of when the video will be live on the TRESemme site, but I can tell you which products I used.

TRESemme were shooting 4 different how to videos so we started off with a more natural makeup then as the final video was quite a rock chick inspired hairstyle I added a red lip and a little more eyeliner.

For the life of me I cannot remember which blush I used, but it was something very natural and no bronzer.

All these products are kit staples for me that I can rely on to do their job and work under camera lights and flashes.

My favourite lip gloss at the moment!

I say 'at the moment' because I get through lip gloss so quickly and always have about 5 at the bottom of my handbag...however the one I'm about to tell you about I have been wearing consistently.

It is from the new Revlon Colourburst range and the colour is Strawberry.

Reasons to love this gloss

The doe foot applicator is really lovely
The texture of the gloss is perfect for me...not too glossy! Just lots of colour and a slight shine
The colour is so pretty on so many different skin tones
The colour stains my lips a wonderful pink tone once the gloss has worn off
