After frequenting London Fashion Week for a few years now, I decided to not rush around this season and to just attend my absolute favourite show – Burberry. I’m sure you guys will remember me saying for about the last eight seasons how much I enjoy the Burberry show. Christopher Bailey always makes it so special with the most gorgeous models wearing his incredible designs, live music (usually from a very cool, up and coming artist – I discovered James Bay at a Burberry show) and a magical, somewhat theatrical atmosphere. This season did not disappoint. Jake Bugg sang as we watched the models snake around the newly designed runway and I fell in love with the chunky buckled boots paired with the most beautiful copper metallic dress. I think this was my favourite look of the whole show, although I did also love the oversized, statement coats and of course some of the more classic Burberry tailoring that you can never go wrong with. I adored the makeup look Wendy Rowe created with a simple brown shadowing around the eye and natural looking skin and lips, then a ‘glitter tear’ look using the soon to be released Burberry glitter pots. So gorgeous. Burberry dressed me in their English Lace Trench Coat, which might be my favourite thing I have ever worn, I didn’t want to give it back! I decided to keep my outfit really simple so it was all about the coat. I wore it with my Kurt Geiger beige heels and my nude/pink Chloe Drew bag as I thought the colours looked pretty together.
Congratulations Christopher on another beautiful collection!
