Under The Sea & Hammock Life, Maldives

Waking up in the Maldives again on Wednesday was so exciting and made me very happy! I don’t think you’d ever get used to the way the water glows and the beauty of the island.

We were absolutely starving so headed to breakfast for banana shakes and waffles

then back to our room to chill for a bit and enjoy our amazing view…

The heat soon got the better of me and I decided it was time to take a dip.

A bit later we made our way through the palm trees to spend some time on the beach. I don’t think I have ever seen sand as white as the sand at Velassaru.

We ate lunch by the pool again

opting for salad, fishfingers, chips and of course some South African Rosé!

Followed by a snooze in the comfiest hammocks.

I could have relaxed here all day…

but there was no time for that! We had snorkelling to do!

It felt magical to be under the water in the fishes world, just swimming along watching them go about their day.

When we got back to the room I found a bottle of champagne and a note from Jim saying that he hoped I was having a great time and couldn’t wait to hear about my adventure! He really is the best person in the world.

We drank the champagne whilst watching the sunset from our infinity pool before dinner and talked about how we didn’t want to leave in the morning!

Velassaru is such a wonderful place; perfect if you want to relax and just take in the beautiful scenery, but it also has the magic of adventure with all the amazing sea life. Thank you so much to Velassaru for inviting me and to Kuoni for flying me to the Maldives! Although this trip was complimentary, I can truly, honestly say from the bottom of my heart that I have fallen in love with this place and I would so recommend visiting if you ever get the chance.

Love, Tanya
